I have posted this in the other thread i started, but so far have not got any response.
I have added all me details, and the latest logfile here.

Problem is this:
Streaming from the tv server on the same box, or to a client PC upstairs works fine.
But if i try to have both connected at the same time it will not work.
The second one to connect, and then tries to tap into the running stream receives this message
Unable to start timeshifting
No free card available.

Please could someone give me an idea if this is a bug, or is it a setup problem.
Is it because my tv card only has a single tuner?

Thanks

I am getting the same message, but only when I try to record a TV show. After the show is finished recording, and I try to access the TV portion of MediaPortal, that stupid message pops up! I am not accessing the server from any other computer than the one it is installed on, and I have to restart my computer to make the issue go away. Anyone have any thoughts to help us out?

I have exactly the same problem as TygerBS, and I did report it before but no one replyed. Here is my original post and:

Hi, I've been getting this problem since the last 2 or 3 svn releases: Basically I cannot watch the same channel in two different clients, I have a server running MpServer+MpClient and a second computer running MpClient. I have two analogue cards connected with s-video and composite, not using the tuners.

To help you out read my logs, I ran MpClient from server and started watching FOXTEL, then I run MpClient in the other computer and selected available streams and got the message "Unable to start timeshifting - No free card available"

TvServer.zip has the TvServer logs only
2ndMpClient.zip has logs from second computer MpClient

I have the same problem, after recording something the TV tuner becomes useless :(

Exactly the same problems. Summary is that you cannot watch any stream, i'll list some of the different use cases:
1. I start recording a show i'm watching. I leave My-TV and come back later. TV cannot be started: "no free card available" (this is intended i guess, but would be nice if it went straight to the streams in that case).
I navigate to the TV-Streams, there are two streams, one is "scheduler22" the other is "htpc" my pc-name. Both cannot be watched "no free card available". That cannot be intended.
Then, after stopping the record, i will not be able to turn on the TV again: "no free card available". The TV-streams list will still show "scheduler22". When i try to select it: "no free card available".
2. On a different client i try to start TV, but the card is busy on the master: "no free card available". If i navigate to the TV-streams, the stream is listed, but if you select it: "no free card available"

This is a serious bug in itself, but the fact that the tv-stream list doesn't get shown instead of "no free card available" and that there are two streams when recording is already a bit odd to me.

Anyone found a solutuin to this? It's impossible to connect to an existing stream, or watch the same channel on two clients. The Channel indicators also indicates this.
