CNN/euronews - DVB-S UK (1 Viewer)

Hi,

If would like someone to confirm they can receive CNN & euro news over freesat (DVB-S) in the UK.

I can't (picture freezes) so before going any further just want to confirm that no one else has the problem.

Looking into this further - it seems to be broadcasting on a 4:3 format & not 16:9;

FYI - I'm also using PDVD8

Yes, this problem happens to me also, will attach logs at the weekend. kellizer2 you'll need to attach some logs.

CNN certainly used to work fine for me. I haven't tried it for ages so I can't promise it's working now. I'll try it this evening and let you know.

I left CNN on for half an hour last night with no problems. Here's my tuning setup for it if it helps.

EDIT: You're correct it is in 4:3 format (or at least it was when I tested it, about 7pm).

Cheers Rob - away from the house so can't get my logs but this failed on the MPV & PDVD codecs.

What Codec do you us?

PDVD 7 for video and audio.

I recall that CNN and Euronews both transmit with mono audio instead of the usual stereo. I beleive that this has caused problems in the past
