I've tried every codec within saf 5.0 unlocked and the only one to give me 100% smooth playback is the Microsoft codec.

Hi all!

I kind of experience the same problem with live tv - maybe SAF unlocked will help me too? Can I have a PM too? Would be great!

Thanks a lot in advance and greetings,

Did you try SAF unlocked? Did it do the trick?
What codec were you using before?

I have a Revo running W7 64bit and CoreAVC and HDTV isnt stuttering but its just not right, I cant put my finger on it but its not!

Hi - I see you are in the UK, so assume you are trying to get BBC One HD, BBC HD and ITV HD?

ITV HD will play perfectly with the PowerDVD codecs, but unfortunately BBC HD channels wont - every few seconds there is a picture breakup and some wierd effects. This is because the BBC channels are encoded in a way PowerDVD cant handle. However CoreAVC 2 can handle them.

I sorted out my UK HD channels this weekend - and now have all channels playing perfectly, no judder or picture issues. My setup is as follows:

    SAF 5.0 unlocked.
Then have installed CoreAVC 2 (but unchecked so halli didnt install, as i have that already).

Setup codecs as per SAF5 guide, then change the h264 setting in TV Codecs to CoreAVC, leave the rest as is.

In CoreAVC set deinterlace to 'hardware'.

CoreAVC uses software decoding of HD though - so your machine needs to be powerful enough. I have yet to find a hardware HD decoder that can handle the BBC HD channels.
