There are some non-functional changes and few performance related changes bundled together in one installer that would need some regression testing.

Installer is based on the 1.3.0 RC source codes, please test for any regression.

4158 Allow DirectShow filters to be build as unicode

Non-fuctional change. This is required so we can have unified baseclasses for all directshow components (will speed up the compilation time).

Testing: test video playback, tv recording, recorded tv playback, EPG grabbing (mainly that EPG data is populated), Blu-ray playback.

4159 Remove C++ sourced binaries from the repository
Nothing to be tested, build environment has been already tested (public build instructions will be updated later).

4160 Introduced a debug setting for the Skin Engine performance testing
4161 Signed unsigned integer mismatch between managed and native code in font engine API
4162 Improve rendering performance in font engine
4163 Implemented state manager for caching DirectX rendering state changes
4164 Use Direct3D 9Ex Flip Mode Presentation for Windows 7 and later

Testing: Test Skin Engine for regression (enough to go thru basic views).

Just forgot to say that both failed and succesful test results are both as important. It might feel a bit non-sense to test non-functional changes, but they will make developing the future MP features/versions easier so that is the carrot - stick will be that if you won't test the next MP version will probably crash on your HTPC or will your wife's favourite soap series will suddenly fail to record.

Video playback (MKV, MP4, AVCHD, Blu-ray): OK
    TV Recording: OK
    Recorded TV Playback: OK

Did a quick run through the skin (DW) and all seems fine, no errors anywhere. (y)

Same results as above mentioned: poor video quality, fonts show strong pixelation ;)

    poor video quality

In what way? I have been using that build for many months already without seeing any issues with the video quality (mainly tested only high resolution Blu-rays so it could be something to do with scaling - like the font issue would point into).

    fonts show strong pixelation ;)

Did you make a clean install? Also removed the cached content (not sure if the installer manages to do this always properly).

If I cannot reproduce the issues locally I'll have to split the build in multiple test build (and that creates huge overhead). 1st new build content would be:

4158 Allow DirectShow filters to be build as unicode
4159 Remove C++ sourced binaries from the repository

Those are something that cannot cause the rendering issues - if the issues are still present then there is something gone bad on the used test systems.
