Thanks for your time on this. I do not have a GENTLE.config. Is this a problem?

I do have a TV Service config file attached.

Thanks again, Dave

ya, I think that's a problem... do you have some sort of non-standard installation?

I can post a gentie.config later... unless someone posts before me :)

This is a standard installation. Can I just put it in that folder when you post it?

    Many thanks Geoff.

wait... you posted the TVService.exe.config.... the gentle.config is not there... that's the program FILES directory....you want to look in the program DATA directory....

    Here's mine anyway.

The only thing specific to my server is hte server name, bender... you should change that to your server name or ip address

I do not have a C:\Program DATA folder on my Win 7 machine that's why I thought you might have meant Program FILES.

Why would this be? Should I reinstall MP 1.4? Will it mess up my settings (recordings)?

    Thanks, Dave

the programdata directory is hidden by default in windoze... yay!

but in explorer, you can just copy paste the path: "C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server\"

MP installed itself in C:\ProgramFiles\TeamMediaPortal etc.

There is no ProgramData folder anywhere in sight.
