im willing to help, i have lots of dtd/xml/xslt experience

one thing id really like to see is the same skin developed at the same time for both 4:3 and 16:9

either a convert tool or a xslt should help there ,i suppose the xml gives us the geometry information and locations for images etc, i have 0 experience in mp skins :) , and if thats the case it would be fairly easy to come up with xslt transform to just stretch the view without stretching the images

In regards to the background colour.

I like the background colour on the left hand side gradient, but on the right it gets a bit too greeny/aqua for my liking. Can the gradient be made more subtle change from the nice blue to a less greeny one on the right

The colors make me think of skies and clouds, which might be a good look for some people who are turned off by the darker and more industrial look of the skin proposed by Harley (no offense to Harley intended, I use PM3 and really like the one he just proposed). It may be a valid concern though that the colors might get too hard to see on some screens. CRTs vs LCDs with all sorts of brightness/contrast setups; sometimes colors that are too close get blended together and it is can create confusion.

Thanks for setting this up mofux, and all at exam time too.
