Would like to have a folder lin MP inked to my SD-Card and maybe USB-stick which contain pictures music etc.
Same way I have to My Videos, My Music and so on.
How can this be done?
Just add the correct driver letter and path and it should work like a charm. MP also autodetect usb sticks that are plugged in, and automatically adds them(at least in music).
Is it also possible to ad "My Computer" and then be able to browse through my drives and folders just with the cursor keys, and then maybe map a key to the remote to do copy/paste?
I don't think you can add "my computer".. only drives and folders. But if you add all your drives it would be the same as entering my computer when you go into videos etc. But this does not work as a fully working file browser, the video section of MP will show you movie files, and the picture section will show you picture files. You can manipulate this a bit by adding more file extensions, but it has its limitations. I know there is a file browser plugin for MP but I dont know how well it works, and if its up to date.
Regarding mapping copy/paste to the remote I don't know how doable that is. Maybe someone else does?
Cant seem to figure out put how to add new folders in the head-menu of MP, together with My Movies, My Pictures etc.
Is it possible just to add such folders? Though it should be some kind of plugin or something?
I would appriciate if someone could guide me through this.
And also If I add a "SD Duo Card" and "USB Key" folders in the menu, will it always be the same driveletter?
Wouldnt that change if only one of the things is connected? Or can it be lock somehow?
If the duo card is inserted into a card reader I would think that the card reader maintained the same drive letter. As long as its only one thing you disconnect and reconnect it should get the same drive letter every time.
There is no way to do what you ask regarding the "head menu". The ways you can do something like this is only by using the file explorer plugin. If youre good with .xml you can use the .dll's supplied with monochrome to make your own menus, but you would have to make skins for them yourself. And there is no way to launch a folder from basic home afaik.
Okay thats what I thought. It sure would be nice if MP could be used for all the things normal windows does.
Also an internet explorer and so on.
Will try the file explorer plugin then. Thanks.
MP will never be a prog like that. MP is meant for multimedia on your TV, not a web or file browser. Plugins make it do some if it, but thats not the goal of the devs(nor should it be).
Okay tried the File Explorer plugin. Works great, but im using the Blue wide skin and there are only the 4:3 blue skin in the plugin.
Would be nice if someone had the Blue wide skin?
I compliment you on the thoroughness of your investigations. (y)
Unfortunately, I don't have any ideas what the problem might be. :(
Perhaps someone else will post with some suggestions.

I have recently installed MediaPortal 1.37 (x64) and MP-TVSeries v4.5.1.697 and unfortunately the TV episode runtime duration is missing in my Titan skin. This only applies to my .TS files, my .MKV files are OK. I believe the difference is likely to be because .MKV files embed the runtime in the file unlike .TS files.
I have done...

I'm running 2.5 with the WMC skin.
I have .mp4 files, along with the related .srt files in the same folder.
I can watch the movies just fine.
In past versions of MP, like 2.4x, I could press the More Info button on my remote twice, and on the second press, an option for showing/choosing the subtitles was listed. I'd select the...
