Hi, sorry for late answer. 'H264 not supported' means that RTSP stream is not MPEG-2 TS and so it can't be processed by TV Service.

The problem is not in H264 (H264 is codec), but problem is in video / audio container. TV Server supports only MPEG-2 Transport Stream and in your RTSP stream is not in MPEG-2 Transport Stream. I don't know if in future TV Server will support other streams then MPEG-2 or not.

The MPFileWriter adds MPEG 2 wrapping (headers, PMT, PAT) to program streams. This is used for analog tuners. I think this could be investigated in the future.

It's little bit complicated. In this case it's clear that there two streams - one vide and one audio. So it will be needed MPEG2 TS multiplexer and also working with RTSP library in MP is not so easy :(

Same applies in the case of analog.

    You can say that again!
Really, live555 is quite overkill for what we use it for. We could try to simplify this by creating our own code from scratch. I've been thinking about this already for the context of generic internet video streams. I think it would be fantastic if we could enable recording and timeshifting as if they were a regular TV channel.
