for a while now. No quality issues at all. The only thing I would complain about is the lack of dvr-ms support but that's easily worked around.
You need to pay a little extra for the mpeg plugin but not much. I have used Dr DivX in the past but that gave me jerky video sometimes.
As for speed? Couldn't tell you. I set it off at night when i go to bed. Whatever I've given it is always done when I get up.
