Just some more info.. so after setting up the program, everything seems to work fine now. all buttons mapped etc. most were the same with DTV1000 H config u had.

Except for one thing.
When i Hit the power button, i lose all control of the remote to MP. tried to set it so the power button shuts down the computer.. but no dice.. it just brings up that menu to shutdown, but since i lose control cant actually select shutdown. tried the various different shutdown actions. but all go to that same screen without actually shutting down.

When i close MP and reopen, the remote works as per normal. but after u hit power button, it dies.

My workaround is just to use the sleep button to shut down the comp. and tell every1 else not to use the power. Power button exits MP and i just use sleep mapped with that other proggie to shutdown the comp as well.

I made a new dll files, unzip archive in mediaportal folder (it will overwrite old files, old plug in must be installed first), configure plug in. It is still work in progress. I tested it with PVR2 (2.0.2.37), WFWIZ version is 5.13.01.2007-1123, and it will work ok, at least it did for me.

I tried new PVR2 (2.0.2.40) and it's making crazy. It starts working well (some time), and then just stops. Worse thing is that even WF_RemCtrl is not always picking up rm codes. They changed some thing in it and I can't figure out what. I didn't try new beta (2.0.2.43) so don't know if it is just this version. Use can wfwiz from older PVR2.

If you do manage to get it working could you post your input mapping file here so I can include it when I figure this out.

Also you mentioned you where setting up program, was it the WF_RemCtrl.

no that was in mediaportal, via your plugin to setup the remote buttons (since it was recognising now)

Edit: Oh just out of curiosity where can u download 2.0.2.37 of PVR2? and even 2.0.2.43?

yeh i think PVR2 2.0.2.40 is a little crazy.. but that's the only one i see on leadtek's site.

Visit Leadtek Helpsite for the latest WinfastPVR. This site is in Hungarian but you can change language to English.

Hey Seba,
Thanks for your help. i've tried the new software and 2.0.2.37 of PVR2 and it works great.
remote works fine, takes a little to get started up (might be just WFWIZ starting up). I'll post the new config xml for my remote as soon as I get home.. (at work at the moment)

One question, just wondering can u suspend and hibernate your computer?

On occaision i can do it fine, it works perfectly, and i can get it back with the remote.. BUT it seems like sometimes WFWIZ is doing something and stopping hibernation/suspend.
Coz even the OS wont go into suspend or hibernation, wont even attempt. Only when i quit WFWIZ, it suddenly tries it.

Does yours work?

Note: shutdown works fine.

I have older winfast expert tv card and it does not support resuming from hibernation, so I don't use it although it goes in hibernation ok. (at least with winfastpvr and its launcher)

In the attachment there is launcher app for mp when you are using WinfastPVR2, you need to rename wffm.exe to wffm.org.exe, unpack archive and edit wffm.ini to match your files. Select wffm in the wfwiz launch menu (when you press power bt), new app will open enabling you to select wffm (which will start after 30 sec by default) or mp to launch. Tell me how it goes.

Help finding WFMultRM.exe

In your installation instructions you mention you have to

"replace existing WFMultRM.exe (first backup the original file) in "C:\Program Files\WinFast\WFTVFM" (or where you installed Winfast PVR) folder with WFMultRM.exe that you will find in "Plugins\Process" folder of your MediaPortal installation"

to be able to use it to run MediaPortal. I have no WFMultRM.exe in my Plugins\Process folder.
Am I missing something? Thanks,

No Jon you are not missing anything, I didn't have time to update site, since I updated plugin, you need to download WFMultRm separately now. I will update site and plugin today.

cmdproperty codes

Why doesn't your plugin SAVE the new settings to the .xml files once you edit the mappings!?

Now i need the cmdproperty codes to be able to make a complete .xml input file that I can move from one computer to another....do you have a list of the cmdproperty codes and their corresponding action????

Also, How do i set it so that i exit full screen video to the GUI menu (video still playing in background) the Vol+/- and CH+/- buttons SWITCH (they do not switch using the Y04G*.xml setting you have provided) from vol up/down or ch up/down to movement buttons (up down left right) to control the GUI....the only way i see that this is possible is to assign the Vol+/- and CH+/- to GUI control buttons (up down left right) ONLY! and then make some other buttons on the remote control the vol up/down or ch up/down for the video.....can you help me with this?

New settings are saved in the "InputDeviceMappings\custom" folder, not in the "InputDeviceMappings\defaults". Make sure you have write permission there.
For the cmdproperty codes you will have to see docs for InputDeviceMappings my plugin only passes received codes, from the remote, to it.
About the Vol and CH keys, one way is as you suggested, or you can use layers or conditions. I don't play much with mappings so I can't help more.
