did you check BIOS settings for "Power On By PCI Devices" option, if you did then perhaps BIOS update is something you need to do.

I confirmed that MCE Remote option is not checked.

I did some more experimentation, and it looks like the newer WFWIZ (version 5.13.1.2007) is probably a little different from the one you have. This one "simulates" keystrokes, which is received by whatever application is in the foreground.
So Channel up is +, Channel down is -, etc.

It looks like the older WFWIZ may have had a different communication mechanism with the application.
(Im not very familiar with Windows arch).


So two possible solutions are:
1. Remap keys in MP to match those of WFWIZ/TotalMedia. This does not require coolcommand.

2. Replace with older version of WFWIZ, but I dont know if the older WFWIZ will be able to communicate with the newer drivers on these cards.

Hi Seba,

I would like to thank you for the plug-in it works great. After so many trial and error I was happy to discover coolreceiver.

I've got a little problem with the WinFastPVR2 launcher. The launcher uses WinFastFM. My Leadtek card doesn't have FM receiver, so the WinFastFM menu in the WinFast launcher is grey out. Even after following the install instructions, it won't launched the WinFastFM. It'll just exit the launcher when I pressed Enter on the WinFastFM menu.

Is there any hack that can enable the WinFastFM even if your card doesn't support it, so I can launch MP ?

There is a third solution, I checked and when I enable MCE in wfwiz I get keystrokes in any app (open notepad and press 1 on rm and you get 1 in notepad). So the Third solution is to use MCE Remote or MCE Replacement plugin.

Initially I made just launcher that is replacement of the WFMultRM.exe (app that displays poweroff, logout, standby, wfpvr, wffm all at once), then I discovered that leadtek changed the way they launch apps (they started to use wfwiz for it, it displays one option at a time). Apparently they changed it again and started to use WFMultRM.exe again.
Installer that I did try's to replace wffm for wfpvr2 and for wfpvr it replaces WFMultRM.exe, so you need to select WinfastPVR when you install launcher.

Hi guys, I have just installed this plugin, I am using the Y04G0044 remote. I have noticed that the left and right buttons seem to be around the wrong way, ie left would do vol up and right would do vol down. So I edited the mapping and then I noticed in the program guide that the left button would right and vice-versa so thought I would post here and see if that is something other people have noticed.

P.S. This is my first media centre machine and only just got it running last night so still learning!

Hi, I have a Winfast tv2000xp global.
Everything works except the launcher, I start it from winfast FM, but only this window appears

with some of the icons blinking and that's it, I cannot start mediaportal.
How do I fix this?

Found a solution.
Made my own WFFM.exe file which directly opens MediaPortal.

This one starts MediaPortal immediately when WinFast FM is selected.

Of course I did.. :/
The remote buttons only worked in mediaportal, they didn't work in the launcher.

Please try all buttons on the remote.
On my remote I use vol+ and vol- for navigation (left, right) because I don't have separate navigation keys.

I did, but none of them worked when outside of MediaPortal, except the button which starts Winfast PVR2.
I have this remote btw:

But since I don't use the card's radio tuner, I like it more this way, when MediaPortal starts immediately when I choose WinFast FM.
