Personal preference would be separate DB's - while CURRENT stated requirement from Suburban is they are ALL the same, that may not remains so - I find the ability to HIDE series in MPTVseries useful to keep my teenage from watching episode after episode of specific show:mad:, but 'retain it' on the main screen, so as a family we can watch it(y)

Ref MP2 - I would not recommend MP2 here based on the usage need [wife and 3 small children as who will be the users:-] vs the installation [where MP2 is clearly better choice] at this time.

    Thanks for the "walk through"...
I have all my media on a central NAS.
I'll will follow your instructions. I will test this within a couple of days...
    Thanks again...

No problem and you have NAS - so so much easier in set up, then I recommend you look at MPSync & Central DB options - depending on need, both are entirely valid solutions.

    Hi!
I followed your instruction (JimCatMP), and it worked :)
I had most problems around changing the (already setup) TV-server to a static IP-address. But after some re-starts it worked. I think some of the XML-files that I copied in late steps had the nickname in them...

    So far it woks!
(now going for the next challange...)
