Crash during initial configuration (1 Viewer)

Synopsis::

When I get to page 5/10 on the configurator, it crashes. I'm pretty sure all of the essentials are installed on my machine plus the codecs. It's a clean install.

I suppose the problem is somehow related to playback, since this is the tuning page?

I've tried reinstalling the Hauppauge drivers according to the instructions on the download-page - and verified that WinTV2000 runs.

Meh. I tried installing the latest SVN-build (10935) just in case. No luck

What happens if you run through the first setup and just go to next page each time, will it complete. (do not worry as you can setup everything within MP setup anyway)

Actually, I think I've gotten it to work now. Fooled around with some different solutions, tried uninstalling all codecs, etc. Then at some point, I realized that the configurater still ran although I got the message about the crash. It failed at the end, didn't save any channels, but I was allowed to start Media Portal after that. Shut down MP, ran the setup again, and this time it worked. Weird, but it seems to be working now

Still getting some weird errors. I've repaired the installation to go down to 2.0.4 again - following the instructions in the wiki. Still getting the same crashes as before during config and first start.

OK, I'd really appreciate some sort of help here. Tried uninstalling .net 1.1 and 2.0 and MP, reinstallind .net 2.0 and mediaplayer (2.0.4). Same error again.

Anything? Please?

Delete the TVDatase.xml file in the Mdediaportal\database folder.

Then rerun and paste any logs at www.mp.pastebin.com, and putting link back here.

Still getting the same error when starting up MediaPortal after deleting the tvdatabase-file.

I uinstalled again and deleted the entire folder this time. Here's the error I get from the .NET framewok (see attached file)

I must admit that I find the lack of help really disappointing. I really hoped someone could help me with this. Switching to GBPVR for now. It may not have all the features of Media-Portal, but at least I can get it to work
