Sob.</p><p></p><p>So I thought, maybe one of the other codecs would help, and have so far tried ffdshow and DivX h.264 (reverting to clean build before installing each one). So far my testing seems to show that when DXVA is turned on, I get the channel change problem whichever codec I am using. When DXVA is turned off I get a variety of other problems, mostly the juddery TV but occasionally MP hangs, but the channel change works fine!</p><p></p><p>Any suggestions as to what to try next?
