    Nature of error:

When watching TV on client, after a short while, the picture stops and the "MediaPortal needs to shut down" dialog appears.

    Steps needed to reproduce:

Start MediaPortal on client machine. Turn on TV. Wait a couple of minutes.

    Frequency:

I was about to say "every time", but I've just turned TV on again, and it worked fine for about 10 minutes, so clearly not every time.

I had switched by main system to TVEngine3, because the Nova-t 500 card in it causes crashes, while this card in the server is fine. However, this did crash every time and within 2 or 3 minutes (MSI R480 motherboard), and up until this latest attempt, my main PC as a client also crashed every time.

Log files attached, although I can't see much of use.

    Best wishes,

    Mark

    Hi Chris,

Yes, the stream is still showing as running to the client which crashed.

There is a possible problem showing up in the server logs, which are attached.

As others have reported, there is no problem at all when the client and server are on the same machine.

    Best wishes,

    Mark

    Hi,

As an additional data point, I have now had the system with specifications as above running for just over an hour with no sign of a crash, but it has crashed several times over the last day or so.

My main HTPC, with the MSI RS480-ML2 motherboard, with a fresh install of mediaportal + SVN 13616 crashes with minutes of turning on TV. The server log files are from a crash of this system.

    Hope this isn't too confusing.
