Crash on Mediaportal restart (1 Viewer)

Hey guys,

I have a problem with Mediaportal..

When I try to restart Mediaportal I get a crash.. See the images and logs.. Hope anyone can find something!

According to your logs:

Seems like a StreamedMP problem. Have you tried starting MP in debug mode?

Oh man, I can't do anything anymore with streamedMP.. Can't modify, can't update.. Always a freeze when try to do anything.. I had this problem also on my other pc.. Nothing helps.. Have tried to delete all registry entries, buth without result.. The only way to fix is to restart the whole system.. Damn,.. This is really to bad.. My system was just perfect, now I can start again...

I also tried to install mediaportal and streamedmp on my laptop, and copy all files (program files and program data) to my htpc.. I thought there was maybe a corrupt file.. But also no result..

Anyone an idea what this problem is?

Yeah I will do that.. Thanks.. I'm now bussy with a fresh install of windows..

I think this is a lesson for me.. Test new thing first on a test system before test it on you main machine..

I cant really tell what the problem is except that it appears to come from the SMPMediaPortalRestart.exe utility which allows you to restart MP from GUI.

Maybe you have corrupted your install in someway, I know you like to MOD your skin from the screenshots...

One of the files that the Util uses is "C:\ProgramData\team mediaportal\mediaportal\skin\StreamedMP\Media\splashscreen.png". Does that still exist on your system?

Other than that I have no clue, you will need to narrow it down more.

EDIT: you can try in debug mode, maybe more information will help.

I have tried to copy a new SMPMediaPortalRestart.exe from a fresh install into the programfiles folder, but that didn't solve the problem.. Also checked if splashscreen.png does exist, and it was..

I can't remember when the problem begin, and maybe more important; what I have done before that.. The strange thing is that it happend also on my game pc, while I didn't have any mods installed.. I'm still not able to install streamedMP again on that system..

Thanks but I have done afresh re-install of windows.. Will use this file when the problem appears again.. (let's hope is doen'st)
