Creating new menus? (1 Viewer)

Hey all, just wondering if it is possible to create new menus with Streamedmp?, or do I have to create sub menus under say Movies???

For example, if I have documentaries that I want to sort I would put them under the documentaries menu, but does this have to be a sub menu under another section? OR can I create a new menu on the top level called Documentaries?

You can create a new item in the root menu, sub-menus are optional. Have a look at the wiki for BasicHome for any help you need.

Thanks for the resposne, im still a little confused here, I have gone through that wiki from top to toe and its seems that I may be doing a few things wrong.

Firstly, the quick selection list method, I can use say the Video re-selected menu from the drop down and then change the item name in there to read Documentaris, an all is good, but where does it find my docos? I mean it seems to point to my movie folders? not my seperate doco folder?, I cant see anywhere to change this? or do I have to change somthing in the Mediaportal config or plugins so it just looks in that folder????

Well you need a plugin that supports opening to a particular folder and view.... Unfortuately MyVideos does not support this but MovingPictures does, BUT....We dont support opening a particular category in MovingPictures until our next version which will be released sometime next week.

So in the meantime, you could upgrade to MP 1.2 Beta and our Beta release of our skin. Create a docos category for your documentaries in movingpics, then wait patiently for next release and you will be able to create a menu item that directly points to it
