When I try to write or mark something outside of MP, especially with with ctrl+mouseclick, nothing happens, until you release the ctrl key and then it just selects that item on it's own. If you close MP and repeat the test, everything works as it should do. This can be reproduced in MP RC1 and in RC1svn18951.

    Hi,
Seems like your setup it's a mess so we start with that first.
    1. Uninstall TV Server/TVPlugin (say NO so you don't delete TV Server db)
    2. Start MediaPortal Configuration -> Television -> Capture Cards & delete the cards which in there & in TV Channels remove all those(if any).
    3. Install TV Server/TVPlugin again
    4. Install SVN if you did (start with MediaPortal first & do not open Configuration, then TV Server)
    5. Start MediaPortal Configuration -> General -> Set Log level to debug & test with mouse & attach logs again ;)

    Regards
    Roy

    Hi,
Seems like your setup it's a mess so we start with that first.

How did you see this? Because of some missing logfiles? Attached again, without tvserver_TsWriter.Log and tvserver_tv.log are (23 MB...!)

Everything seems to work fine, except the keyboard-lagging... i've spent hours to install & config and don't have so much time to reinstall, just for "fun", and i'm afraid, all settings as channel-group-epg and the other setups will be lost... :( (my wife would kill me!)

    Hi,
You try to load your tv-tuner into MediaPortal which causes a exception because it is used by TV Server.
It's up to you if you will fix that, if you think it's for fun (& i'm just kidding you) we can remove this thread now.....

    Regards
    Roy

ok, i'm at step "3. Install TV Server/TVPlugin again": which setup / file is that? the full RC1refresh.exe?
and which options in there should i choose? 1-click or dedicated tv-server only?

or the "package-tvengine.exe" in the deploy-folder?

    Hi,
Grab the package-tvengine.exe, this will install TV Server/TVPlugin again.

    ok, i did it:
3: installed "package-tvengine.exe" without opening configuration at the end of setup.
4a: installed "MediaPortal_weekly-snapshot.exe" without opening configuration at the end of setup
4b: installed "TV-Server_weekly-snapshot.exe" with "uninstall before"=yes and wihout configuration at the end of setup
5: started MP: didn't start correctly, because tvserver was not configured (i expected, but didn't want to make something else than u told me to)
6: started tvserver-config: mysql test & saved, tvservice started, checked configuration (no changes made), and closed
    7. Start MediaPortal Configuration -> General -> Set Log level to debug
8: started MPTestTool tested with mouse:

    Result: same keyboard-lag and click-error

9: started MPTestTool and gathered all infos & log-zip-file: fully attached.

(sorry, i'm german, please write slowly)

    Hi,
Well nasty exceptions gone, good :)

Check in MediaPortal Configuration -> Remote -> General HID & check if anything it's enabled there if it is disable it & test again(that setting caused lag when i tested to write, mark, copy in notepad).

damn, that seemd to fix it, no more lags at first test here. But i'm SURE, that i didn't check this box, maybe it is checked by setup standardly (bad english?).

Thx for your help, i go back and test the rest, so i might survive this night, when my wife returns back at home :D

Any suggestions for the rest of the errors you found in my logs?

    Hi,
That was enabled as default in setup (thats fixed now, so RC2 will be good(didn't think of this @ first but when your log was without errors it has to be configuration)).

Didn't see any other errors in your log so it should work fine now.

The first exceptions was also due to a setup problem when you run GUI wizard it added the tuner which TV Server used to MP old engine which can cause much mess, this it's also fixed in SVN so GUI wizard skips that step now. As always it is beta & bugs can & will occur ;)

    Regards
    Roy
