Custom Data Grabber including Sky UK Channel/EPG Grabber (7 Viewers)

Make sure in DVB EPG > Radio > you have Sky UK Grabber (it's listed as a radio channel) ticked.. Otherwise EPG will be empty.

Thanks psykix - i noticed this sky uk grabber radio channel and have been ticking this in the radio epg as you describe - no joy. On your setup, does this channel come up with a red T icon next to it? Mine comes up with a red T - does that mean its encrypted for whatever reason? Also, in all the material I have seen in this thread, there hasnt been any reference to this radio channel (admittedly I havent read all 109 pages) - are there more setup instructions I havent spotted that could explain my issues?

One last thing - there are some transponder tuning details in the sky uk grabber - have these changed at all recently? I went on Kingofsat.com and notice two EPG channels on the same frequency - there is service ID 4152 which is called EPG background audio and 4189 which is simply EPG. See below/attached for default tuning options: Anything wrong here?

Exactly the same as mine and mine works fine,
I am using 1.2.0 final
tbs 6981 with the 2.0.1.3 drivers

Have you enabled the card to be used for EPG grabbing by going to the tv server card menu and clicking on your card and then edit and then checking the allow card to be used for epg grabbing box?
Also I have gone into the DVB EPG menu and clicked on both tv and radio epg grabber sections and put a tick in the box next to english.
Also try ticking the epg grabbing while timeshifiting/recording box in the dvb epg menu

On my system it say all the usual things - but then when I start MP there's no data. I really can't understand it, because after uninstalling MP 1.2.2, I'm now back to the version that used to work and now that has the same problem too

Same story here. The Plugins seems to go through all the motions including reorganising the channels into the sky groupings. Then it says fetching epg data, this may take up to 15 minutes - but seconds later it says its done. And sure enough no epg data has been added.

Spacemanc's troubles getting his previously flawless 1.2.1 setup reinstated suggests there is something amiss. I have also tried to roll back a far as version 1.2.0 of MP in a bid to get this working but to no avail. Pity that this basically means other people who aren't on the bandwagon already likely won't be able to get this to work either. Also implies that those of you with working systems on 1.2.1 or earlier dare not upgrade your MP lest you lose your epg.

Would appreciate any other insights hints and tips and tricks from the community out there!

Yup, just tried that and,it, doesn't make any difference. Someone else also advised me to drop the mySQL database through the command line interface earlier in this thread. Still no data coming through on the epg.

Mine does exactly that (says grabbing but finishes after about 3 seconds) on a first install. I always have to tick the Sky UK Grabber radio channel in DVB EPG before it will grab.

As mentioned above, you do have the cards ticked for allow card to be used for EPG grabbing? And you do have them ticked in card mapping in DJBlu's plugin?

Yes, it was about 2 seconds longer to change channel, i went back to the 2009 mdapi

DJBlu - bit the bullet tonight and upgraded TBS6984 driver to the latest 1.0.2.2 driver.

All seems well, and no continuity errors so far. Haven't upgraded the TBS6981 driver to the latest yet though..

May fix your problem if you are still having it
