To repeat (and hopefully clear any confusion):

DJBlu released his files (they had an issue)
ICam2 fixed that issue
DJBlu then released version 173

So the latest/current version is 173 found here https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/attachments/setup-mediaportal-git-1-2-0-173-zip.98819/

The process is as of the first page instructions (steps below have been summarised!):
Install 1.2.2 Final (and make sure its working)
Install DJBlus SVN version (use the version posted above - version 173)
Install the custom Grabber
Install the Sky plugin

Off you go... :)

J.

Downloaded final version and tried to open tv server configuration and the MYSQL v MS SQL Server connection setting test pops up. This does not recognise my localhost name or IP if entered.

MYSQL was not installed as part of the final MP install as it was ticked as being present despite it not being present on the PC havng been removed. Should I try and rinstall MYSQ5.1 seperatetly to get TV server config working?

    Hi there,

If you are willing.... do a full uninstall of Mediaportal and MySQL (I'm not sure what state your system is in after the various things you've tried)

Ininstall Mediaportal and MySQL (via control panel), after that check the service has gone:

    MySQL

If not, stop it and then open a command prompt and type:

    sc delete mysql

Once the service has gone, check the various directories have gone:

    c:\programdata\mysql
    c:\program files\mysql (or c:\program files (x86)\mysql if you use 64bit)

If they are there, delete them

This should have fully removed MySQL

Now check the relevant Mediaportal directories have gone:

    c:\program files\Team Mediaportal
    c:\programdata\Team Mediaportal

    If not, delete them.

At this point you should be fine to start the install again, and it should install MySQL as part of the process.

    Cheers,

    J.

Make sure you have Sky UK Grabber channel ticked as a channel in DVB EPG Radio (yes, radio!)

Yes I have but scanned channels after installing and should have left the grabber to download the channel info as per page 111 items 7 -9 ?

    Hi there,

You go into Plugins within TVServer config... everything is "driven" from there...define your "Sky settings"..once done (and you have selected a card to use for EPG grabbing) click grab :)

If its still not working post your logs.

You really should be following the instructions on the first page (downloadable Word doc) posted by DJBlu - the plugin will work just fine if you follow those.

The 173 above conflicts with the final version 1.2.2. as I reported above so what is the answer apart from downloading the final version again on top of the 173?? There seams to be diffeent versions at the mment to make the pluggins work but they don't.

Thanks I thought there was a file missing.

I will reinstall again - only takes 10 mins now having done it a few times recently from scratch.

    Thanks
