Custom Data Grabber including Sky UK Channel/EPG Grabber (3 Viewers)

ok hope someone can help when using the sky uk epg it says error ocurred no signal detected but when i use it with the freesat plugin it works fine

DJBlu, could you add STV HD as I see it's not getting added as a new channel......it's been around since January I think.

It doesn't work like that as djblu's plugin scans the channel bouquet's and adds them just like a standard sky box. What you can do is add it in manualy

STV HD is at
10936000 V
22000 5/6
SID is 3855

Once its added manualy just move it to the group you want it to be in and change the channel number if you want to.


Strange i just did a manual scan for STV HD on my system and it finds nothing. So i'd say its more than likely a problem with the channel itself. I'll try again after

Yes I had already added it manually.............but the reason I have mentioned it here is because I thought DJBlu had fixed a couple of similar issues with some channels once before i.e. that weren't appearing. Could be wrong though.

The reason I noticed STV HD is because I was scanning 28.2e using a DM800HD and it appeared there......so I guess even wierd'er if you are saying it doesn't appear on a manual scan under MP.

Have you tried scanning the single transponder?

10936 Vertical 22000

Don't change anything else in the scanner as its an HD channel over DVB-S not DVB-S2.

Yeah tryed that this moring while i was testing it finds 3 channels on 10936 and checking king of sat that transponder only has 3 channels on it one is ment to be STV HD but its not appearing by that name. Anyway i was only testing for IanJ i dont need that channel.

It isn't labelled as STV HD but it is that channel.

It is labelled as 3855.

DJBlu - massive thanks for this plugin. After recently getting a dish and a TBS 6981 card, I've installed both the client and TV server .250 updates over the top of MP 1.2.3 official on my TV Server and everything works perfectly. I'm using the Freesat UK grabber - all channels, groups and EPG grabbing is absolutely spot on and makes everything so much easier, it's a breeze. Thanks so much!

Just a couple of questions though:

1, For a MediaPortal client only install, if I install the official MP 1.2.3 client first (with TV), then the setup-Mediaportal-git-1.2.3.250.exe update, I get the error "TVPlugin and Mediaportal don't have the same version" when launching MP. If I do a clean install of 1.2.3.250 client, I don't get any TV section. Do I have to install the full TV server 1.2.3.250 update on every client in order to get the series link update? Apologies if I missed something in this thread regarding this. I've read through most of it but couldn't find anything relevant.

2, I tried to install the new master volume patch on my TV server (written by Te3hpurp) which includes updated core.dll and configuration.dll files. However, when running the new configuration.exe I get the same error as above, "TVPlugin and Mediaportal don't have the same version". Is there any way to get around this version mismatch?

Just run the TV-Server-patch installer aswell, this will update the TV Client to the new one. Don't worry it will not install the TV server just the TV Client.

The only option you have is to get into coding. All the source code is on git hub and you can merge the code and create your own unique installation files.
