Channel 4 HD hasn't been DVB-S2 for a month or two now. It's DVB-S, which could be why it switches to that channel faster than it does to BBC One HD or BBC HD.

I'm getting the same results as onelegend.
Im running windows 7 ultimate 32bit and a tbs 6981 card with 2.0.1.5 drivers. The dll is in the tv server folder and I have the .173 tbs version installed. SD channels change quick within a second or 2.
Changing to a HD channel even from another HD channel can take 4-6 seconds.
With 2.0.0.18 drivers it's taking about 2 seconds changing to HD channels.

Is there any advantage to the newer drivers coz I haven't noticed any issues with the older drivers?

    Rich

I don't know what the changes are in the drivers, 2.0.0.18 have the setting required for the quick zap. I thought 2.0.1.5 had them also as they released a test driver with this code in there and they said they would include it in future releases.

I'll email and check as it is a little confusing.

The 6984 drivers definitely have the code required as I am using 1.0.2.3 and it is working.

If 2.0.0.18 is working then I suggest you stay on them till a new version is released.

I didn't think 2.0.0.18 had the code as these were my very old archive drivers. I found these to be the quickest without using the new tbs function in your mod.

I downloaded the 2.0.1.5 driver that you uploaded in the dedicated tbs ci thread, results I posted above and in my logs are with those drivers so the mod should work.

So hang on, what's quickest then:

    2.0.1.5 driver + no mod
    2.0.1.5 driver + mod
    2.0.1.8 driver + no mod
    2.0.1.8 driver + mod

    ?

2.0.0.18 about 1 sec faster than 2.0.1.5, 5 sec hd tune as opposed to 6

Been playing around most of day trying to see what going on, no joy so far.

Will reinstall with the dedicated tbs branch tomorrow night to see if that still works

Edit: is it possible for you to push the latest changes to git djblu?
Thought id get into playing with the git files and want to merge in your channel change when not in group patch. Merging your mod fails atm but I guess that's due to 1.2.3 version

OK so I wanted to try the Sky Grabber today but I must be following the installation instructions wrongly cos it isn't working.

I uninstalled MP TV Server (full cleanup) which then prompted me to uninstall MP (which I did, leaving settings in tact). I then installed the MP version from this thread, then installed MP TV Server from this thread. I then copied in the custom DLLs (Custom Data Grabber.dll & Sky UK Channel and EPG Grabber.dll) as outlined in the first post to C:\Program Files (x86)\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server. However, there are no new options under DVB EPG in MP TV Server Configuration. Also, the exact opposite of what I wanted happened: all of my channels and settings for TV Server are still there but my MP settings and plugins are all gone. o_O

Looks like it's time to restore a backup. :(

Complete uninstall everything, drop the database when it asks.
    Install MediaPortal 1.2.3 Alpha
Download and install the files from the first thread without uninstalling MediaPortal.
Stop the TV Service. Close the Setup TV application.
Copy the Custom Data Grabber.dll to the TV server directory. \Program Files\Team MediaPortal\TV Server\
Copy the Sky Grabber.dll to the TV server Plugin Directory. \Program Files\Team MediaPortal\TV Server\Plugins\
Open the Setup TV application and click Yes to start the TV service.
    Enable the plugin.
    Have fun.
