Can someone jog my memory please.. I need to be able to select channels by number, but can only select channels from the current group I am in..

I remember there being a workaround for this but what was it?

Would someone be able to offer any assistance? I am currently trialing mediaportal. I am a long term windows media center user, but getting fedup with having to keep manually updating my sky epg, and this plugin with mediaportal sounds perfect for me needs.

But, I am currently getting an exception in the SetupTv when I attempt to click the'Grab Now' button. It happpens immediatly after 'Grabbing set to 60 seconds of data' appears on the screen.

2 options i think:
Merge in a patch DJBlu made - need to manually edit the code in - I found this a pain in bum compared to option 2 though as with the patch it will always change group (ie if you were in all channels and changed to sports 1 it would change to hd or sports, then when you went in to the guide next you had to change group to see all channels)

or

What I do is just keep it in All channels group and change by channel number. Don't think I use groups anymore tbh as I know most of the numbers.

Unless anyone else has more options

Quick q as it's probably me doing something wrong

Has anyone had luck merging the git branch, just trying to merge the custom data and series exp branch only.
Merge is successful and it compiles. Install is ok as well but on attempting epg grab I get an unable to create graph error.
Default scan works.

DJBlu 1.3a build works as expected so I suspect something is wrong with the merge but would like to verify someone has merged successfully

Ugh.. was hoping it wasn't a patch (was hoping I could just replace a dll or something!) - I have everything set up again and working great apart from that.. I just got a Harmony 1100 and wanted to set up the channel logos for the missus and kids to use to change channel.

Oh well, will just do without!
I also had to switch to using MYSQL since it won't upgrade the database using MSSQL, I even tried dropping the database after the base 1.3 install and before the DJBlu one's hoping that it would recreate, but alas it still failed.

How do I get this to work in windows 8? It just keeps saying your operating system is not supported by mediaportal when I start the setup.

The clue is in the statement.

Windows 8 doesn't have BDA capabilities so the TV Server is useless.

Works fine on Windows 8, search the forum for a guide.

When I try to view sky 3d channel it no longer works . It says "NO PMT FOUND" and this in the log:

"PMT Pid wasn't found on the PAT. Channel may have moved, try a new channel scan."

I did a new grab using this plugin and still same error. Any ideas?

Can anyone else test, even if you can't decrypt the channel it should still say channel scrambled.

EDIT: Ok found out what it was, it was because the channel wasn't broadcasting because it was late at night. Oops

@DJBlu If you get a minute could I ask a big favour?

Can you fix the latest installers so that they work with MSSQL? MYSQL performance is poor compared to MSSQL - when I add a series link recording using MYSQL TV freezes whilst it searches the database and read times from it are slower.

The latest installers fail to upgrade the database if Mediaportal is using MSSQL.

Hi, I have finally bitten the bullet and bought a TBS 6984, and wondered if someone could give me a heads-up on how to run this with DJBlus grabber with 1.3a, is there a TBS specific patch, specific drivers, etc?

No special patches for tbs cards yet, just run the latest tbs 6984 driver from the tbs website website
