Guys what skins are you using cause I can't replicate it. Are you using a client? Is the client on the TV Server machine?

@psykix How much did that set you back?

I bought the QNAP 419 Pro II - £380 off the bay brand new, although you can get them for £416 on Amazon..

I then bought 4 x Hitachi Touro external drives off Scan today only for £155 each.. and then broke the cases open and removed the drives.. Was about £75 per drive cheaper than buying the standalone drives. Very bizarre!

What does it mean skip steps aren't working ? This means you can't skip forward/back 15 sec, 30 sec, 1min, 3 min etc ? Why does this not work? Or does this not work on the alpha either

I think it was just down to one channel. I wouldn't worry about it. I haven't seen the issue re occur. Plus I had timeshifting set to the wrong folder which was on my SSD which is on its last legs.

I have a problem with my scheduled grabs. I've tried setting it to hourly and also tried setting it daily at a time when the TV is usually on. In both cases, I find that around every 7 days all the EPG data will be gone and I have to do a manual grab. It's not a major issue for me, but it is for others in the house! Any idea what the problem is or what I can do to fix it? (I'm not using the latest 1.3 version yet.)

DJBlu so going from Mediaportal 1.2.3 Server only installation , I can't upgrade straight to 1.3.0 tv server only ?

Is it possible to backup the database then uninstall then install your Mediaportal 1.3.0 files then restore back my database ?

Due to the impending release of 1.3.0 Beta I have now added the code and re-branched on git hub.

1. This requires a 1.3.0 FRESH Install. It CANNOT be installed over anything. Do not ask.
2. This DOES NOT include and other modifications other than Custom Data Grabbing and Series Link and nor will it. If you wish to add extras then you will have to do so yourself.
3. No I am not going to include the TBS quick change code, yet.
4. Follow these instructions carefully:

Completely uninstall any version of Mediaportal (deleting all databases) , this includes 1.3.0 Alpha.
Install a fresh copy of 1.3.0 Alpha.
Download and Install this First
Download and Install this Second
Stop the TV service and Close TV Setup
Copy this file to /Program Files/Team Mediaportal/TV Server/
Copy your required plugin from the first page to the /Program Files/Team Mediaportal/TV Server/Plugins.

If you follow these steps 1 by 1 it will install and it will work.

Please do not fill this thread with questions which are answered above.

If you require help outside of these instructions then ask away and I will help. I will not respond to requests for code merges/changes that suit your personal needs.

The aim here is to get this functional and operational 1.3.0 Alpha version of the Custom Data Grabber.

I may be being dumb... The coloured genres on the TV guide.. I have movies in red, but everything else is just normal. Do I have to do something special to get the colours to show up?

The clue is in the statement.

Windows 8 doesn't have BDA capabilities so the TV Server is useless.
