I've got an issue with the box office data not being complete, see screenshot. EIT is carrying this information so is it something that is not being carried on the OpenTV platform?

What is the time interval for EPG checking? Does it occur at the same time as checking for new channels etc? I read that MP has an issue with updating the EPG unless all the tuners are idle does this still apply and does your modification suffer from the same issue?

I'm about to post this on a local geek forum that MM1352000 is a member of in New Zealand. I'm hoping that will increase updake and likes

The issue is the same as the UK. Box office events have their summary sent out once on another pid(0x50 & 0x51 I think) and this is shared between multiple titles. The reason I never added it is because MP isn't capable of ordering these events.

The plugin is not affected by the grab when idle problem. What ever you set in the plugin it will grab epg and channel scan as this is independent of the EPG rules.

Oh ok I see. Is the box office data in the UK ( I moved from London to NZ before I found MP!) transmitted using EIT or is completely on the Sky platform as here in NZ, the Box office data is also on EIT (repeated twice as its the same text on the extended tag too).

That's great about the grab when idle... wouldn't have bother me much as my server is always on so there would be a period of time where it could update but it was worth asking

I know there is EIT information however everything is sent in OpenTV format for all the sky channels.

Without sounding ungrateful for all that you have done Is it possible to combine the EIT data for the Sky NZ Box Office channels (standard 0x83 PID) with the OpenTV data and channels or is that not possible with the way you've developed the plugin?

Sorry to ask again, but did channel 50 Sports Mosaic have and event information with it? The sky box has information about the channel but it doesn't appear to be transmitted via EIT (which the rest of the channels are) or via your plugin, is there anything in the data stream that you saw?

The plugin is remaining as is as I don't have time to look into it. I think you are getting confused with the two systems. There is no EIT data transmitted on the OpenTV system. Take a look at the mpeg2 specification for information about EIT.

If there is no data for a channel then it isn't available. Simple as. The plugin will provide you with all the data that is available with the exception of box office event summaries.

So I do not need any of the standard MePo DVB EPG settings enabled? I can disable them all (and purely use your plugin settings)?

I have 5 tuners so yes. As long as the tuner is available then it will work. There shouldn't be any disruption to any clients.
