I've got that too.... hence why DJBlu is looking to minimise the impact of the plugin on MePo.

I do my grab "out of hours" at the moment, works fine for me now lol

Uploaded new file on first page that uses a new throttling method that should hopefully help on the stuttering machines.

Also the update every x hours is now fixed.

You will need to delete your database to use 1.4.0.6

I'd changed my schedule to only update at 3am - had no stutters since I did that

I'll give the new grabber a whirl when I get a sec today.

For deleting the database does deleting all the channels in the tv config util do the job or do we have to do a full mytvdb drop via command line utility?

I've done a clean MePo install - just leaving it running atm.

I've noticed something very odd though..

Ion Channel 4 HD when I do Shift 1, I have Rptd FPS : 50.00 but then I have Detd FPS : 12.257

Now that can't be right...

It does seem to be ok at the moment though - I'll leave it a while and see what happens.

EDIT :

Ok, I was using Intel QS and had Rptd FPS :50, Detd FPS: 12.257

Switched to DXVA2 (native) and now it is Rptd FPS : 25, Detd FPS : 50.00

I'm not sure what it should be! (Channel is Channel 4 HD)

Anyway, no glitches, and no freezes so far without the plugin installed.

Detected FPS seems to be a bit dodgy anyway - I've often seen it show things like 48 fps, even with rock solid graph lines and playback at 50 Hz.

I just ran this command and updated to 1.4.0.6. Running a grab now but there's some weird changes:

- Only one of my tuners is listed in the Cards/Mapping tab now, rather than both.
- More channels are found than before (910 instead of 643 or something).
- EPG updating is much slower. It seems to take maybe half a second per channel that isn't in my channel list, whereas before it'd skip these almost instantly. I don't know about anyone else but for me, the EPG updating never caused any stuttering issues, it was only the initial grab.
- The "Channels Updated" text is still dodgy. It now switches from "(4/910)" to "(4" to "(5/910)", etc. Sometimes the number in the second stage doesn't match that of the first stage (e.g. "(400/910)" to "(387" to "(401/910)")

The slowdown is the throttler working it's magic. Without it you get 100% usage on 1 core of your processor. You can switch it off in the settings.
The Channels Updated is a typo that will be fixed in time. There is nothing being missed.

Can you drop the database and let me know if both cards are available. Thanks.

Yes but, like I said, slowing down the EPG updating doesn't help anything for me. It's only the initial grab that needed throttling because it caused stuttering. Can't speak for others.


In fact, I just tested grabbing whilst watching TV and it still causes stuttering and/or stoppage of TV streaming anyway.

Not sure. I don't get my channels using your grabber. If I export all my channels, drop the database, and re-import them, will everything still work?
