MP TV Server is running on my server:

GPU = Intel Celeron G1610
GPU = IGP
Motherboard = MSI H77MA-G43
RAM = 4 GB (used to be 8 GB but needed a 4 GB stick for something else and RAM prices have rocketed again :()
HDD = OCZ Vertex 4 & 9 HDDs
OS = Windows Server 2012 x64

I'm not convinced it's CPU related because even before the throttling, grabbing only used one of the two cores. It seems to bugger up the RTSP streaming somehow. It's connected to my HTPC via gigabit Ethernet.

    My specs are :-

    Core i5 3570K (3.4Ghz)
    16Gb RAM
    Asus P8Z77-I Deluxe M/B
    SSD
    Windows 8 Enterprise 64 Bit.

    And I only get stutter when it does a grab.

    Have to take my little lad out to get the new Disney Infinity game :)

    Will be able to test a bit when I get back :)

    Hi DJBlu many thanks for the new plugin (1.4.0.6). All works fine (i've dropped the database) only thing is its not keeping the channel groups as i set them. They keep reverting to defaults as a temp fix ive moved them around directly in SQL. Cheers

    Them specs shouldn't be having any issues.

    What DVB-S card do you have?

    My card is a TBS6981

    Dunno what drivers everyone is using - I'm using the specific Windows 8 latest driver.

    BlackGold BGT3600. Still using latest official drivers (meant for Windows 7) because the Windows 8 beta drivers break DVB-S(2) tuning in MediaPortal.

    Can you try it in another pciex slot.
    Not today due to footy. ;)

    I think it's in the PCI-E 3.0 16x slot but it's set to 2.0 speeds in the BIOS. My two 1x slots are being used for SATA controllers. My plan was always to use the PCI-E 4x slot for my BGT3630 but, alas, the new drivers don't work so I can't.

    There's various issues with the Win7 driver for the BGT3600 in Win8, I dropped back to 7 in the end as it's solid.
