Sigh.. I checked out the SVN..

However when I come to build, I'm hit with the bug detailed here :-

    https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...ompiling-issue-since-vs2010-94161/#post724631

And the workarounds detailed here :-

ResGen.exe error: An attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format - The Visual Studio Blog - Site Home - MSDN Blogs

I have no idea which workaround is best to use for building Mediaportal?

Edit : sod it, I'll ditch VS2010 and use http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...69-9671-4330-A63E-1FD44E0E2505&displaylang=en to build using the batch files. 4.5Gb download tho!!

    Go into the build directory

    run these

    MSBUILD_Rebuild_Release_TVServer_Client
    MSBUILD_Rebuild_Release_MediaPortal

Then look in the Release Directory

I don't seem to have a build directory.. It seems it should be under C:/svnroot/mediaportal/trunk but there isn't one..

Have searched for those batch files, and they don't exist!

    Really sorry for my noobness!

Oh one other question.. do I apply the patch 3 times to 3 directories? Or just to the mediaportal directory?

Edit : ok I sorted the build directory (I needed to do a checkout on the trunk folder for some reason)

Just the question about the patch and where to apply now!

    Just once.

Heres the binaries you need for the latest SVN.

    This is a one off.

Next update will be 1.2.0 RC

You can use the last Sky plugin I posted.

The files above just include the patch file I posted on the first post.

You don't need them for the plugin to work.

    Hmm..

    A bit stuck!

I can compile bog standard SVN just fine.

I apply the patch, and several of the directories then have a red exclamation mark next to them - I presumed this was because they were now different to what is on the repository?

Anyway, I tried to build.. Mediaportal built ok, but the TV Engine one doesn't. It looks like it is, but then nothing ends up in the release folder.

Any ideas? Is it because the SVN is now a different version to when the patch was written?

There should be a log in the build directory, assuming you are using the build scripts. Look there first as sounds like it was unable to build because something failed.
