Custom Data Grabber including Sky UK Channel/EPG Grabber (8 Viewers)

Hi Guys,

Where does this plugin stand on grabbing the dvb-t epg data. I have just added a card to my setup along with a tbs 6981 dvb-s2 card and before I change to this plugin I need to know how stable it is and whats working and what isn't.

hmm - went away for a week and coming back I have no channels in the groups... had to delete all channels and re-run, now I have them back and tv works - but no epg for the channels... has anyone else had this, or shall I did out the logs?

I can drop the DB and start again, just wanted to check if this has happened to anyone else first?

ok, sorted - for some reason the card settings had been lost, re-selected 28.2, and ticked s2 scanning, then it all worked.. strange!

Hmm - its deleted all the channels from the groups again... logs attached... has no one else got this? It has been working fine for a couple of weeks.

Last night I had a problem whereby I kept getting Connection to TV Service Lost. I couldn't figure out what was wrong and so I rebuilt Mediaportal from scratch!!

Today, the same problem occurs. I can only get it to work by disabling the DJBlu plugins..

Any ideas? I've come to depend on my DJBlu plugin!!



EDIT: I have an idea what the issue may be related to..

I was using the Sky ITA plugin just to grab the EPG and do nothing else.. I had scanned in the Sky ITA channels into one group named after the satellite using just the normal Mediaportal channel scanner. Last night before this issue occurred, I turned on the Sky ITA channel grabbing ability.

On the reinstall I also enabled channel grabbing (but not to use groups) and then afterwards when I couldn't find the channels I did a grab the normal way..

So.. I suspect the plugin doesn't like the fact I have grabbed the channels in the normal way with Mediaportal? Or maybe they are listed twice somewhere now? Or maybe it doesn't like the group that Mediaportal has put them in?

Dunno, am grasping at straws a little!!

EDIT2 : I have disabled just the Sky ITA grabber and left the Sky UK one running and it seems fine, so seems to point to an issue with the Sky ITA plugin (maybe related to what I wrote above)

Tried it, sorry to say SetupTV crashed again with this version. Logs attached.

Out of interest/desperation I tried Miroslav's version from the other thread for 1.2.0, that seems to still work for the EPG without any issues. I've attached the log for that too.

There is a new Sky EPG Grabber on the first post.

Can you give is a whirl. It may fix your problem. If not can you report back.

In fact can everyone download it and report back. I have put in some error trapping in there. Basically it will stop the TVServer crashing.

Also does the freesat plugin have Series Link? I am runing miroslav22 sky epg but channels dont update and I am missing some channels.. So I what to move to your plugin.

I updated to latest grabber.. but I also tried reenabling the Sky ITA one just for EPG grabbing, and it all went pear shaped again. Connection lost all the time..

So.. disabled the Sky ITA grabber - still same problem. Only way I could get it all to work again is to disable both grabber plugins, reboot, fire up Mediaportal which then works ok. I can then exit Mediaportal and reenable the Sky UK grabber and it is now fine (1.2.0.14).

No idea what that's all about!! Should the two grabbers be able to coexist with each other ok?

They should work fine but I need log files to help.

Edit: I have found the problem, I can fix it no worries. Will upload a new file tommorow.
