Custom Data Grabber including Sky UK Channel/EPG Grabber (4 Viewers)

delete the Sky Grabber channel from the Radio channel section then hit Grab Now again.

This is what did the trick. I now have a populated EPG, so just battling with NO SIGNAL now.

UPDATE: Can't seem to fix this. Note: The quick scan I had done per the instructions was fine and the preview was fine, i.e. BBC1 Scotland.........but now after a successful full scan using DJBlu's scanner and a nicely populated EPG........nothing works, NO SIGNAL.

Have tried the usual Haup HD S2 card issues like Diseqc set to SIMPLE A or NONE but makes no difference.

I note also that the few channels that were still there from the brief test scan per the instructions are now dead also. NO SIGNAL.

Q. Are Hauppauge HD S2 cards still having problems in regard to DJBlu's code?

Any help appreciated.

It's not my code m8, its the TVServer. I am having the same problem.

Me and another programmer are working on a solution to this.

The only option you have to solve this is to scan using the Sky grabber, set the Diseqc to SimpleA and scan the channels with the MediaPortal scanner. Its not ideal but should work.

Do you have any other tuner cards m8?

Its a totally new Diseqc system which allows different settings on different cards.

You will be able to set the diseqc route and then the TVServer will look for LNBs that can tune to the satellite instead of potential cards.

This has many advantages:

Such as you set up all your cards, then the TVServer can store the tuning details. Channel Mapping is easier as you tell the TVServer what diseqc routes can tune to a certain Satellite.

This will allow you to select the satellite from a drop down menu and then just scan it.
Saves scanning the same satellite 3-4 times.

22khz switching and 2 tone will be introduced aswell as USALS/

I didn't want to mention anything as I didn't want to be unindated with questions.

When I have something to test I will upload it in a new thread.

Yes the Custom data will be usable also.

OK, I have just done a complete re-install of win 7 64bit + SP1, MP 1.2.0 rc, after multiple restarts i then try and install Setup-MediaPortal-svn-1.1.8.28160.exe and all I get is the message "A reboot is required after a previous action. Reboot your system and try it again".
So I am still stuck. Anyone else having this issue as I have no EPG, please help......

I've just run into the no signal problem this is how I seemed to be able to fix it. I have a clean install of the latest version and have two Haup S2 cards. After the initial install I could not get the epg scan to work at all. Setting the diseqc value to Simple A fixed that and I soon had a bunch of channels and epg data for them. But the only channels that worked seemd to be the DVB-S2 ones. The standard channels gace a no signal error. I tried changing various settings but nothing helped. Finally I performed MediaPortal level channel scan. This updated all of the channels installed by the sky grabber (and added a handful more). Following the scan everything seems to work fine... Not sure if the channel update will break things again as I have that turned off (for other reasons). But so far everything is working really well for me...

Yup, with my two Haup HD S2 cards I've got it all working now. The only issue I have now is that after 3 hrs (or whatever the update is set to) I get a load of channels installed under ENTERTAINMENT, lots of regional stuff (outwith my region) and multiple copies of it.
I'm putting this down to the Haup thing so no complaint really. Just would be nice to have a ways to permanently disable a channel from re-appearing........although I guess I could just delete the channels from the MP tv channels list.

ok im having problems with the groups loosing all there channels for instance the kids group is there but now has no channels, so i did another scan and still none and other groups are also loosing channels, i have an error in the error log as follows -

Atomic - that is the same issue I had... can you check if you have your hard drives set to sleep - I did, and turning this off fixed it for me.
