Was trying to figure out how many of the fixes are already in RC1, but Paranoid Delusion recommended that I use it..
I'm really struggling with lipsync issues on some mkv's and occasionally on TV - the mkv I was testing plays fine in Graphstudio but is out of sync in MePo.
Anyway, I digress and am going off topic for this thread!
Hi DJBlu Seams to be a problem with the new RC or plugin not to sure which one. every time i run a scan the "Got All SDT Info" number of channels change randomly. This is a new thing as i always used to get something like 1040 channels every scan now sometimes it 340 then the next scan 1005 then 500 and so on. I've added my logs with 3 back to back scans and as your see each one is different. As i say this has only started after RC1. Cheers for now
Edit. Looks like the problem must have been with the transponder and nothing to do with mp or the plugin. as i'm now getting 1046 channels every scan. cheers anyway
Hi Folks/BJBlu,
I'm currently using the older sky epg grabber (see other thread), but with the RC being released it seems like a good time to consider which grabber to use. I have a mixture of DVB-S and DVB-T cards (two of each) and only view free to air content. At the moment I use the sky epg data to provide data for both DVB-S and DVB-T channels that are available on both (like BBC one etc), by combining the channels into a single entry, for the one or two channels that are only available via DVB-T i either use the data from the sky encrypted version of the channel (using the ability of MP to let you use a card for epg only), or use the web-epg code to get the data from the radio times.
So long description, but I hope you are still with me. The question is, can I use this code to provide my epg data, either using the same way I'm doing things at the moment, or if there is a better way then I'm happy to change things around. In particular does the auto scanning stuff work if you have combined channels (mixed DVB-T/DVB-S)? Anyone able to offer any advice?
Thanks
Andy
PS As always thanks for all of the hard work on this...
Andy - you can use this scanner to just grab EPG and not scan or order channels - that is not a problem. Depending on your usage, you can either use the freesat or the sky one to tune in the channels appropriate to either service, and either use your own groups or the ones that the scanner matches to the original provider settings - so its pretty flexible.
I don't know what the autoscanner would do if you have a mix of tuners and combined channels - will defer that one to someone with that setup, but it would certainly keep the tuning up to date for the sky/freesat channels if any settings changed or channels are added/removed from active service.
Does anyone know which channels on 13deg east transmit EPG data?
I'm not looking to use the Italian plugin, but I want to try to get EPG for all the channels on 13deg East (now/next will do).
I always used to use Marcopolo channel, but that doesn't seem to work.. I seem to remember it being on Alice at some point also, but I can't find that channel on a scan!
I've been using MP 1.2.0 beta with Sky UK Channel & EPG Grabber
1.2.0.13 for some time without problems. However I noticed
something a little odd recently which puzzles me.
For all cards I have set "c:\TV Recordings" as the folder for recording TV in
TV Server Config but in fact the recordings appear in the folder
c:\ProgramData\Team Mediaportal\Mediaportal TV
Server\Recordings. All the recordings there appear correctly in
the MP Recorded TV listing. There are a few old recordings in
"c:\TV Recordings" and these are listed as well.
