hello i have just updated to the latest version of this software from a complete reinstall and for some reason i just cannot get this to work via multi-room..... comes up with no channels every time?!?!? im at the end of my teather and tried everything and followed instructions to the dot??? ideas or help would be fantastic

I stgart with a fresh rC install, then try and install the Setup-MediaPortal-svn-1.1.8.28160.exe, but everytime I just get:
"A reboot is required after a previous action. Reboot your system and try it again"

I then reboot and try again, but get the same message. Any ideas please?

not sure exactly why but when ever i install an svn i just install that and dont need to install the rc before hand?

im just downloading svn 1.1.8.28173

I dont compile to be fair, i just download from another site and keep the offline files to do a normal install by renaming the dl file to match the install files in the deploy folder.

i have tried uninstalling loads of stuff, re-installing, restarting, etc, but cant' get rid of this anoying message which stops me in my tracks, "A reboot is required after a previous action. Reboot your system and try it again", so I currently have no EPG
Can anyone help me out here please?

Metro,

Instead of rebooting, try a shutdown. Then power the machine back on and try the install again.

It might be windows is trying to install some update, which are only installed as part of a shutdown and not a reboot (purely a guess).

Otherwise attach logs (in debug mode).

Hi J, I have tried shutting down completely and installing the svn, still the same problem.
If i start debug mode then it starts MP, and I need to install the SVN when MP is not running, so how do i go about supplying logs when installing svns?

Fresh install RC1 & followed instructions to add DJBlu's SVN's & DLL's.

On "GRAB NOW" I get error = ChannelNotMappedToAnyCard".

I have two HD S2 cards and have ticked both.
PS. I did scan briefly using built in MP channel scanner and got a few channels which DO work, so I know MP is ok as are my cards.

Any ideas?

Are the cards selected in the Cards / Mapping in the Sky Plugin?

If not then you'll need to select them then delete the Sky Grabber channel from the Radio channel section then hit Grab Now again.

Just a short follow-up to my previous post (#539). I have found that
when I record a channel directly (Record Now button) the file is
correctly sent to \TV Recordings. However, all recordings set up
using the EPG go to \Programdata\... Could there be a problem
with the TV Server?
