Custom Data Grabber including Sky UK Channel/EPG Grabber (6 Viewers)

Hi DJBlu,
with respect to the chan 301 thing. I tried setting things up so that the EPG grabber was configured to grab this channel and chose the option to only grab for the selected channels. At first it looked OK, but then I noticed that I was no longer getting data for any of the other channels (the ones using the skyepg grabber). It looks to me as if the sky grabber also respects the only grab the specified channels settings (even though they appear to only be for the dvb-t epg grabber). certainly if I uncheck the only grab for the specified channels I started getting epg data for the sky channels again. The problem is that without having the only grab for the specified channels option set the dvb-t epg grabber seems to over-write the data from the sky grabber (and with no series link). Not a big deal I can go back to using the web-epg for that one channel, but I thought I would let you know, how I got on...

The grabber does send the EPG to mediaportal to handle so it will behave like you mention.

I don't know how it is in other european countries but as far as i know HBB-TV is a european standard on how to extend tv with additional information.

So is maybe anyone interested in writing a plugin which extracts the urls in the tv stream?

Select 1 channel in the DVB EPG Grabber

then

Manual Control --> Refresh EPG

Running 1.2RC with grabber 1.2.0.19

I had previously had the issue of No Signal with the scans and had to do a manual scan over the top.

The "New option to set modulation to ModNotSet" works a treat for the non-HD channels; however, I get the No Signal problem on the HD channels. When I do the manual scan, it pretty much then gets all the HD channels but Channel 4 HD still remains a problem.

If I try doing this too many times in the hope that it will start to work, then the Sky Grabber gives the error
Error Occured:- No PMT Found

I'm not sure if anyone else would be interested in this but, could the plugin be altered so it will only map channels that you have as part of your sky package?
For instance, we don't have sports or movies so there isn't much point in having all the channels mapped and epg data!

There is no way the plugin can select what channels you are subscribed to.

The only option you have is to change the names of the groups in "Region/Groups"

Change the Name of Sports and Movies to "All Channels". It will put them into the All Channels group.

Change the Name of Sports and Movies to "All Channels". It will put them into the All Channels group.

There will obviously be a slight amount of user input, just like the region selection. You make another screen with tick box that say Movies, Sports, Kids etc. If the options are ticked the channels are mapped.

What about channels you can view from packages like News & Events? They are spread over 2 groups News and Sports.

The way i'd do this is go into the groups and untick the channels that aren't in your sky package. That way they will not show in the mediaportal client. or do as DJBlu says and remove the group names from the plugin. After all this plugin uses basically the same channel details as a real sky box and that wont let you pick and chose.
