i dont send my system to sleep as i have an ssd which likes to panic lock if i do use sleep, so cant help sorry.

im having issues with this it might be my end but ive tried twice already to set it up but -

i fully uninstalled the old versions and dropped the database.
installed new version and get the error message failed to update database.
then when i try to scan for channels after updating the transponder list i get error message cant load transponder files, check directory and theres none there?
Sky plugin wont grab data etc.

any thoughts?

I take it you did install the 1.2.0 final (not RC1) before you installed the svns? Heres The transponder List for 28.2

yep i installed 1.20 final, ive got a bizar thing happening here with the final version on its own. I installed the final version and then opened up the tuning parameters/dvbs where i have the satellites.xml . now i opened up the tvserver config and started to update the satellites and i see the downladed satellites appearing in the dvbs folder but then when it finished downloading the files they proceeded to delete themselves?
So i downloaded the transponder file you provided and put it into the dvbs directory and then started a satellite update again and found that the files were no longer downloaded and the file i placed into the dvbs directory deleted itself, very strange??

and 1 error i had was my own mistake silly me.

Dont think the failed database message is the problem, i found the problem was with the download of the updated satellites, when i did this i could not scan for channels but if i did the clean install and not update sats then i could scan fine.
When i updated the sats it deleted them straight after for some strange reason, so i used the transponder linked a few posts back and put that in the dvbs folder and then all worked as expected.

I didn't update the satellite transponders because I knew of the problem.

However.. Trying to install the SVN's over the top of 1.2.0 final gives an error updating the database - something along the lines of the fields in the table not being unique..

I'm using SQL 2008 R2, can't do much at the moment, because I had to get it up and running quickly without the DJBlu SVN's cos missus was whining about watching X-factor!

Any ideas? Did you still get a database upgrade error or did that go away?

it did not go away but seems to be working any way, maybe database error because its the same version ie final release but with the patched files and so nothing to update in the database, im only presuming here, but mine is working without problem.

i still had to copy over the custom data graber file and the sky uk file ( i forgot to copy the graber file first time around ).

I've Complied a new svn today and that takes care of the transponder updates. Looks like the update source has changed i'll replace the old svn with the news ones maybe 2morrow. As for the database upgrade error i've seen this once on a new install then it cleared itself (that was using mysql)

This is from the update log "28222 Updated URLs for retrieving satellite transponder files from our server." fingers crossed

You will need to keep copying them over untill they approve DJBlu's code for the main source.

With these 2 there was no need to use the official 1.2.1 installers. Just put these 2 straight over the top of what you have now and your be on 1.2.1

With this version the transponder upgrading bug is now fixed and a few other little bits and bobs.

Hi,
So I'm running 1.2RC with the original 1.2RC version of DJBlu's code. What is the best way to update this to the current state of play?
1. Install 1.2 (or 1.2.1), then install the svn build over the top?
2. Just install the svn over my existing install?
3. Uninstall what I have then do either 1 or 2?

When I installed my current setup I did not install the the official 1.2RC, I simply removed all of my original setup (including the database), and then installed the svn builds provided by DLBlu...
