I did a complete fresh install of 1.2.0 with the official installers. Then you can hopefully use the 1.2.1 installers that i posted above to go up the 1.2.1. You can try to go from rc1 to 1.2.0 using an "over the top" install if you wanna try it.

so does that mean that the svn installers only install the changed parts and expect a standard 1.2 install to be present already? Do I need to run the 1.2 version after I install it and before I install the svn (or avoid running it), I guess the database format is different between the standard build and BJBlu's version, so I'm not sure if a 1.2 install will try and change it at all... Perhaps I just need to give it a go and see what happens...

Step by step this is how i'd do it.
1.Remove MP Completely.
2.Install 1.2.0 Final.
3.Install the 1.2.1 installers that i posted above.
4.Copy the custom data grabber and sky uk plugin from the first page
And your ready to go. Keep it nice and simple. The way i see it if you start putting it in all "willy nilly" your going to run into problems at some point.

Thanks for the reply I agree simple is best. However I'd still like to understand what exactly is in the svn installer. The installers on the first page of this thread seem to be a complete MP install as far as I can tell and you do not need to install them over the top of an official release. At least when I used them I had a totally clean system and only installed the svn install from that page, I did not install the official build first and everything has been working fine. Is this not the case for the svn installers that you have built, are they simply an update to the official 1.2 release?

Firstly forget the installers on the first page as they are for 1.2.0 rc1 (the only files you need from the first page are the grabber and sky plugins) ok. after you put in 1.2.0 (or even the 1.2.1 final) you still need to put an svn over the top of official build for the grabber to work as the original build does not YET contain the code in the tswriter that DJBlus plugins expect to find. So see it like this when i build the svn installers i have to add DJBlu's patches to the source first else you wont grab anything!!!. All i'll say if you dont know about svn and patches etc then dont worry about it mate. If you want to test the 1.2.1 svn builds without installing the official build first then go for it but it may cause you problems!!! .Trust me do the steps i said in my last post and you cant go wrong. cheers

I've done a total wipe and install (including format and reinstall of OS) and I used the files provided by icam2.
I'm using StreamedMP skin - latest version.. wonder if that is the issue?

Thats is strange!! i've been monitoring mine for the last week or so and its spot on %100!!. Only thing that we have different is sql servers? i'm on mysql and i belive your mssql.
edit take a look at my tv settings and compare with yours.

no not that then because i changed my settings to the same as yours and refreshed my dvb epg and my programs were written back into the menu. Im also using streamedMP skin and thats fines
I also have another problem which I have not had before.. Multiple channels - BBC News, and a load of Sky Vegas channels.
I think I'll have to turn off the channel updating bit for now, because my channel lists are now a bit of a mess!
