    If they are disabled in the plugin then they will not be used.

    Unknown errors are usually due to the TSWriter

    Upload your error.log and tswriter.log

    This is easy to fix.

    Stop the TV Service. Close Setup TV.

    Open MySql Command Line Client

    enter your password should be "MediaPortal"

    then type

    drop database mptvdb; [return]

    Now open SetupTV.

    I don't know why but your database wasn't updated with the columns it requires.

    I had to do a complete reinstall tonight - my database wasn't updated with the extra fields either (MSSQL) so I had to do the above to fix it..

    I'm using the latest files from the 1st post.

    Yep that fixed it.......although somehow my .config file got trashed. A trusty backup saved the day though.

    There is a new Plugin on page 1.

    For it to work All Channels need to be removed. Both TV and Radio.

    If you don't then the channels will still duplicate as there are errors with some that are stored.

    So, delete all channels and re-scan using 1.2.0.22.

    This will sort everything.

    Just been testing by changing some channel details and it is not adding new channels.
    If you guys can test it and report back.

    I found out the reason for the errors those of you having problems YESSS.

    Ok guys new svn's being uploaded its very important to follow my steps

    1. Uninstall everything. drop database etc
    2. install 1.2.1 offical
    3. install my new svns (be here soon)
    4. setup and scan (you will get the error but dont worry)
    5. IMPORTANT you now must drop the database again.
    6. redo settings (i know it sounds strange) and run the sky grabber and bang its works.

    Do ask me why im guessing they added some new things to the database with the new build.

    FYI : This still seems to be the case - even using the files from the 1st post on the thread. Not sure whether it is a change in 1.2.1 or something awry in the DJBlu patch.

    I had a problem whereby my 1.2.0 install had been working fine for weeks - then all of a sudden yesterday it wouldn't get past the "loading window plugins" splashscreen.. There was nothing obvious in the logs..

    So I decided to reinstall last night and go to 1.2.1 - all worked, but it seems like the TV Service keeps hanging and only a complete reboot will fix it. Again, there is nothing in the logs other than to say it is tuning the channel..

    Think will have to do another reinstall!

    Help! could someone in the UK give this a quick try for me. Could you try setting a series link and see if it works for you? For some reason the series link for the new code breakers series on BBC HD tonight at 21:00 does not seem to be working for me. I can set the recording ok but it does not show in red for tonight's episode nor does the episode show up in the scheduled section under the series recording. I suspect it may be some sort of issue with the actual data as other series links have been working fine for me. If anyone can tell me what to do to capture whatever you may need to debug this then I'd be happy to do that...

    Are you running 1.2.1?

    If you add series link recordings, then open tv config and look under schedule for recording entries, does the entries look messed up?

    I posted back on thread 67 I think it was and attached screenshot there if your results look similar to mine.
    I've not tested this in 1.2.1 though

    I had this problem not so long back. Turned out to be my firewall was blocking access to the mysql server. Just try doing a temp disable of your firewall software and see if that clears it.

    Just looked at this program and it has no series information.

    I'll take a look at the popup window code as it shouldn't give you the series link option.

    edit:

    Just looked and there is no option to record the series here on my machine.

    The Screenshot you posted is how the series link should store the data.

    It will remain in your schedule until the Series Termination arrives then it will delete it after the last is recorded.
