Hi, I am having a couple of problems with the TV Server. One is that when the machine resumes after an S3 suspend, the TV service sometimes fails to start. I reduced the impact of this by going to Admin tools, services, tv service, properties, recovery, & setting the first, second & third failure to restart the service. This problem survived a rebuild to Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit. I still get an occasional "can't connect to tv server" error.
The other problem is that using the files on the front page, series recordings are failing to wake the pc. If it is on already they record, if its asleep they don't. The strange bit is that if the recordings are not series link, then the box wakes, does the recording & goes back to sleep. I had this problem prior to the rebuild (windows 7 Ultimate 32bit), & I think it was introduced after moving to MP 1.2.1 while DJBlue was away. I rebuilt the box at the weekend, loaded 7 Ultimate 64 bit, MP121 final, then installed the files from the front page of this thread. I also installed the freeview hd epg patch which works fine.
Any Ideas? Let me know if you need any logs.

I'll take a look at the code for the Series Link recordings.
One thing to note is, If you installed the freeview hd patch last then it will have replaced files required for the features in this thread.
Just so I'm sure I understand this, does this mean this plugin can't currently be used with the freeview hd patch to show epg correctly for those channels? I searched back a few pages and this question seems to have been asked a few times but with no clear answer.
Depends on whether you are building the code yourself or simply just replacing the DLLs. If the latter then they are not compatible. I am pushing for the Freeview HD EPG fix to be in 1.2.2 as it is a fairly simple fix

One quick question do the SVN builds from the first page contain a complete install of MP, or are they an overlay to 1.2.1? I'm just curious as to why the install instructions recommend that you install standard MP first...

Yes,
1.2.1 for the 1.2.1 SVN installers.
You have to install MP before as it will install the correct files before hand, then the SVN will update the files which need replacing.
If you overwrite a beta then you run the risk of errors.
One thing that concerns me about the SVN revision numbering of this plugin - up to now I have been using the simpler Sky UK/IT/AUS mod to do sky epg grabbing and series link. That too marks itself as an SVN version.
When I came to upgrade from 1.2.0svn to 1.2.1 final, it wouldn't do it, saying SVN versions cannot be upgraded. So I had to start over and spent a while redoing all my settings. Is there any way to avoid this problem, as I assume it applies to this plugin too (which I want to try, but without nuking my settings!)

Ok,
So here goes.
After 7 days of trial and error, I have sorted the channel scanning of freesat.
However
I haven't written the code for the EPG yet. You will see it is disabled in the settings but the channel that gets added for the channel grabbing will also be enabled for EPG grabbing. So when the channel scan is complete the EPG will be updated by the TSWriter.
I recommend you reduce the timeout in DVB EPG grabber from 10 mins to 2 mins.
There is a new grabber on the first page.
If you wish to use this plugin then please delete your database and then run the plugin.
