Just one question - I though Sky UK had 2 weeks guide listing but I only see one week. Am I wrong and one week is all you get?

You're getting confused with the Radio Times plugin which has 2 weeks for some channels. 8 days is all you get with Sky.

Check the F-Connectors, there may be gunk/rust on them. I sometimes get the white residue on the cable. A re-strip and clean of the F-Connector is normally sufficient.

Well.. Since it is dark when I leave for work, and also when I get home, I've arranged for someone to come out this morning with a meter and check LNB and connectors.

Have to go to a wedding at weekend down Cambridge way, so didn't fancy going two weeks with a flaky system!

System still crashes when going from Moving Pictures to live tv - but not always.. once I know lnb and cabling are ok, I'll investigate further. I may have to post some logs up here for the wiser minds to look at

DJBlu, have you looked at MP2 yet? It seems Alpha release is not too far away... Will your epg grabber be integrated as standard or will you be working on a compatible version?

Totally different approach and I'll be waiting until its stable enough to introduce. Its basically TVE3 with an interface layer.

Well just spoke to the satellite guy on the phone and he said signal seemed ok on the LNB and at the PC end.. Got him to replace it anyway, and also change the dish face since it was a rusty old horrible looking thing! He says signal strength is now a little bit stronger..

If that hasn't resolved the continuity errors, then I have no idea where to look - unlikely to be both TBS 6981 and TBS 6984 faulty...

Will soon see when I get home tonight!

Gutted... after all the above, still getting continuity errors in the logs and break up of picture..

Can someone look at the logs and see if they can see anything obvious?

I get these continuity errors on my setup too. I always assumed it was to do with me using MDAPI.....

What plugin / server do you use psykix??

Ironic that you should say that, because I suddenly thought about that today... I do use MDAPI - I use a linux server running the most famous one! When I went and looked at the server, the screen was full of error messages. I have rebooted it and so far pic looks ok.. time will tell...

The only thing about that which confused me though, was that I would get continuity errors on BBC One HD, which doesn't use MDAPI..

It's so intermittent though - just when you think it is solved, it does it again!

Fingers crossed...

EDIT : Back to the drawing board.. still doing it..

I'm beginning to suspect a Windows update.. reason behind that thinking is that I updated Windows 7 with all the latest patches before I installed MP 1.2.2, and when I did the fresh install I installed all updates again..

Frustrating this!

Gonna do another clean install tonight and put Win7 SP1 on with no other patches and see what happens.. Before this thing goes through the window!!
