Well.. It looks like one of the inputs on my Octo LNB have gone kaput, or one of the cables is damaged.. I managed to isolate which one by setting enough recordings to utilise all 6 tuners...

Anyone know what the following errors mean? I have thousands in my logfiles... (not related to the faulty input because I have disabled that one)

    27-02-2012 20:52:41.89 pmtgrabber: serviceid mismatch f0c != f0b

    Hi there,

I used to (havent checked recently) have those errors - when I watched ITV1 HD

Do a search... I have raised this issue in the past. I think DJ Blu said it was an issue with the pmtgrabber???

    Have you tried rescanning channels?

    J.

I've just checked the logs again, and you are correct - it was recording Coronation Street on ITV 1 HD (not for me I might add!)

When it stopped, the error stopped also..

This is a fresh install from yesterday afternoon with a completely fresh Win 7 install also..

Any idea what you did to fix it?

There are some other errors too... a fair few TIMESHIFT Stream rejected errors - not related to the same channel though...

    Hi there,

Chnaging the PMT to 0 didnt work for me, but that was a while ago - it might work now.

To set it to 0, simply edit the ITV1 HD channel settings (Change PMT to 0).

If that doesnt work, do what I did.... use a different instance of the ITV1 HD :D

    J.

ps - I think the issue is due to multiple PMT PIDs on the same SID, and the software can't handle it (??)

Well, if the errors do no harm (other than big logfiles!) then I will leave it be.. I don't want to change from ITV1 HD Granada region because others are wrong region, and also I believe some of the others are only 1920x1440, not 1920x1080 resolution...

I have never noticed any harm.... just massive logs! lol

I will check later if I still have the issue on ITV1 HD Granada.

    J.

ps - You are right, only one of them is full 1920x1080.

I posted 2.0.0.18 drivers in the tbs ci thread if you want to grab from there

Double check card connectors? Could be that when it's working ok it's using tuner 1, when it's not it's using the 2nd tuner - happened to me before ;)

Could test by disabling a tuner in tv config and then swap round?

Edit: just noticed all my attachments have gone so driver isn't there, I'll upload it shortly if you still need it

Can you upload that driver for me please?

I need to eliminate driver issues before I go getting someone to check the dish/lnb!

    Thanks!

Never mind - just checked by switching to the TBS 6981 and an old driver, and it's the same problem :-(

Looks like a new octo lnb is on the cards :-(

Check the F-Connectors, there may be gunk/rust on them. I sometimes get the white residue on the cable. A re-strip and clean of the F-Connector is normally sufficient.
