Database: Refactor MP1 database for multi seat usage (4 Viewers)

This is an example of how it works. If you have a movie on 3 DVDs, if you save each one to a file (mkv) and do not merge them, a merging mechanism is made so there is no duplication. Then in MP1 it will be as one movie, in the database will also be one record for the movie and 3 records for the files.
Run your merged file to play, it should show from which disk to watch.

So, does that mean, for the purposes of my test, I should have deleted the .ts version of the file?

No, it doesn't interfere, you just see two videos with the same name.

I've reloaded 1.29 and see what you mean about what should happen.

I'l concentrate now on understanding what is going on as I have never had CDs in my folders before.

I'll get back to you when I have sorted that out or have any questions.

Just to be clear, I now understand the issues involved with file stacking (though I'm sure I will have further questions) and am now in a position to go through all of that processing in the refactored version to ensure that the stacked behavior is unchanged.

This will take me awhile to go through in depth, so I'll get back to you when I have a new version.

You can check all variants of the plugin in two modes, in Shared, it is simple, there is nothing complicated, and the database can be said not to use. And in Database mode, it already uses only the database, as well as using a variety of view modes with a given hierarchy in the settings. And some of the modes are in the box, but the user can create any of their own with any level of attachment.
If all modes are fine, then you can try other plugins. Such as MyVideo Importer, FanartHandler, LatestsMediaHandler, Trakt, MovingPictures, TVSeries etc.
