    Hi,

the settings in MP-Configuration are for MPEG files only.

XviD decoder is used automatically if you play an AVI. So there is no need to have an option for this in the setup. :)

    Hi,

I do not use subtitles in AVIs so I am the wrong person to ask. Please do a search in the forum. Afaik there are some topics about it.

Imho it should work with VOBSUB and FFDSHOW.

    Hi,

to check what codec is in use, you have to use GEdit:
    http://www.stokebloke.com/video/wmv2avi.php

    - start GEdit
    - start MP
    - start a XviD
    - In GEdit: File->Connect to Remote Graph

And different picture quality in different players must not mean that they use different codecs. Players do also much postprocessing (deinterlace, sharpen, unsharpen, saturation, etc.).

MP uses WMP as internal player, so you might compare picture quality between those players. And MP surely does not use a MPEG2 codec to decode XviD! It might use a different XviD decoder. But this deppends on windows. This can be manupilated by the so called MERIT.

    Hi,

MP only supports VMR9. Overlay was kicked, because its a old technology causing some problems. So you have to stick with VMR9. :(

To change color / saturation / brightness you have the 3D settings of your graphics card color correction.

and MP use standart VMR9 or VMR9-renderless ? (i try set VMR9-renderless in BSPlayer and output picture quality is a lot of blurred :(

normal VMR9 do something with outpot quality?

big thanx for help and your time FlipGer!
