I have Streamedmp installed for a while now and I'm happy with it. BUT when you want to return to the home screen, e.g. from tv guide to home, it takes a second of 10. Have other people also this issue? Navigating to other items is pretty ok, but always returning to home seems difficult. Wondering if I'm the only one..
Or is there another way to return than pressing the green MCE button?
Thanks in advance..

Complexity of your BasicHome (depends on number of menu items) will effect the time taken to return, you could try reduce this and put other items in MyPlugins. you can also try disable other things like RSS,Weather,RecentlyAdded until your are happy with the speed. Worse case, get a Faster CPU will also help.

We will at some point do a complete review of the home screen and most likely do our own custom handling which doesnt abuse the skin engine, but that may take some time.

Re : Delay when returning to Home screen

    Hello ...
I have the same opinion than wijnand...

When I discovered StreamedMP  ... I falled in love with it ...
... but after a few days, the honeymoon began to crack, for only I (major) reason : the delay for returning home screen ( and also the fact thant the return is not at the same point of entering a sub menu ) :(

I tried everything : no more fanart, minimum items in home screen...maxium in plugins, no more meteo, no more RSS, and at final a ridiculous benefit of the delay and a StreamedMP disfigured ...

    So please ....

    :D :D

Yesterday I removed some items from the home menu and it seems a bit faster. CPU load is minimum, so upgrading the cpu is no solution. (now Intel i3 550) I will look into the logs if I can find where's the waiting for. First I should find a way to place the removed items in my plugins.. I will try to do this tonight. I'm not 100% familiar with this setup tool yet

    Ok, I'm here again :)
Since I had some more problems, I reinstalled a clean XP sp3. After this I also updated the chipset and graphics driver. And guess what; the irritating delay is almost gone. There's a slight delay when returning home, but far not irritating.
So I guess my powerfull hardware is now covering the issue. (i550 proc) If any,of caurse.. :p
