Info: This is a re-post of another thread, now in coherence with the forum's bug post rules.

When changing channels in live TV mode, I often end up with getting video but no sound for the first 5...15 seconds. After this time sound starts and video pauses, until both are in sync. Then live TV runs as normal, but with the introduced delay.
When I stop live TV before changing channels I seem not to get this effect (not 100% sure though). Playing around with different audio decoders made no difference.

In the log attached, this was the operating sequence:
    - Start MP, go to TV, select first channel, start live TV and go to fullscreen mode
    - switch from CH1 to channel 2,3,4,5,....,10 using the number keys on the keyboard: the delay appeared with CH3 (S3-BW), CH6 (hr), CH9 (SF2)
    - stop live TV, close MP, collect logs.

    Hi,
I checked with MPA, and the sound delay on channel change is gone.
But I got other problems with MPA when watching videos (no sound at all), and I'll open another thread on this. Problably I will continue using PDVD7 as Audio decoder.

Yeah, I have this issue as well. I have tried a few different audio codecs, with different results, but none works without problems. Sometimes the video just freezes and starts playing after a little while, and sometimes it freezes without starting, and I have to turn TV off and on again to get the video playing. It appears to me that switching to and from a particular channel (TV2 Norge) it happens more often than for other channels.

In DVBViewer everything plays just fine, with the same decoders.

I have attached my logs from a couple of runs.

Similar problems here with MPV/MPA and MS VISTA codecs.

64QAM broadcasts are more prone than 16QAM .

Sometimes the sync is so far out after a jump forward that the playbak goes into ultra fast forward without sound.

Usualy if no sound present after a jump forward or channel change then a 5 second jump back syncs both.
