ok, the problem is not playing the mkv with flac audio ( no problem here what so ever).
I just want the mediainfo mediawrapper to support flac audio.

This is so we can get Logos for flac in the next build of Moving pictures.

sorry for the confusion---. And btw everyone should use "MADFLAC" for decoding FLAC with directshow/Mediaportal.

OK, mediainfo supports flac. If mediawrapper doesn't, you need to bring it up in the main mediaportal developer forum:
    Improvement Suggestions - MediaPortal Forum

    Edit: sorry wrong url

I've been a Meedio user for over a year and Moving Pictures is the thing that has convinced me to make the switch to MediaPortal but one of the most important thing for me is custom filtering of movies (in frontend) and because of that I've been waiting for the new version before I make the switch.

Please let us know the latest status.

The current status is, as always, publicly available here
Release dates are never hard committed although always tried to achieve , things (such as Real Life ) can get in the way of progress.

The new version is at least a few weeks out. Most likely sometime in June.

Any news on the new version 0.8.0!? :)

I really miss to be able to sort movies by genre!? Isnt there any build out, where i can try it... I don't need all the other stuff planned in 0.8.0, only the genre sort :)

We plan to go into alpha testing at the end of the month. Which means you can expect a release date sometime around July 7th. Give or take a week.

The vision of the MediaPortal project is to create a free open source media centre application, which supports all advanced media centre functions, and is accessible to all Windows users.

In reaching this goal we are working every day to make sure our software is one of the best.

  • Support MediaPortal!

The team works very hard to make sure the community is running the best HTPC-software. We give away MediaPortal for free but hosting and software is not for us.
