In an attempt to resolve some tuning problems with my HTPC, I went out and purchased a splitter / booster. Once installed, each card gets its own feed, with nothing daisy-chained. From here, I went into the TV Server Configuration tool and rescanned the channels on my DVB-T tuner cards. This is where it gets strange.

The first Hauppauge DVB-T tuner sees all transport streams, but some of the signals are slightly off. (SBS and Nine are off by 0.125 MHz.

The second Hauppauge DVB-T tuner fails to pick up two of the available transport streams.

The Dvico tuner sees all the transport streams, but only SBS is offset by 0.125 MHz.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what steps I can take to resolve the problem?

If you are located in Melbourne, I think you will find that Nine is on 191,625 KHz and SBS is on 536,625 KHz which means your scan results are correct

Assuming that the scan results from the first tuner are correct (which I think they are), then just map those channels to the other two tuners.

The card only has one RF input. It seems strange that each tuner on the same card handles the signal differently.

I will drop the gain and see how it reacts.

I played with the booster, with varying results.

The results varied from missing transport stream to flaky channel detection. In same cases I got corrupt channel names and only some of the transport stream's contents.

I removed the booster and went back to having the 2200 daisy-chained to the Dvico. To resolve the tuning differences between the two cards, I edited the dvbt.xml file and amended the SBS and CH9 frequencies. Now both cards use the same frequencies.

One problem remains. (apart from the need to have my PC turned on or the TV does not receive a strong enough signal).

SBS HD is the only SBS channel that I can record. I can view the others, but any recording results in a 0 byte MPEG file.
