A little off topic but I'm considering buying the new Duoflex CT with a CI. Does the CI for the S2 card decode several channels on different frequencies at the same time or is it locked to one of the tuners at a time?

    Hi Morpheus,
thanks a lot for your great work. Is there also a version for MediaPortal 1.2 Alpha or a 1.2 SVN version?

    Kind Regards,
    Thomas

Yes! That is the Main Feature of the CAM with DD multituner Card.
I have One S2 with two Tuners and 1 CAM Module.
I have tested this Feature by Tuning to different Sky channels in a multiseat setup and there was nö Problem.

In General the CAM is always able to Decoder multiple channels. Even with only One Tuner As Long the different channels are on the Same Transponder.

In my opinion the S2 with CAM is the Best Solution for CAM Users.

    Hi rbo

I changed something in my system today and had some problems too.
I own a vers 3 and a vers 5 cine S2 and a CI with PCI-e bridge and everything is fine.
I want to take an vga card inside and safe 1 Slot i took the CI at the V5 card. The driver look fine, but when i try to search channels i got 100% Quality and strenght like
everytime but can not tune. after i took the bridge back - everything ist O.K.
Maybe you should test your tuner first without the Ci to test it is O.K.

    greets Darkroom

    Hi Darkroom,

I think that's the same problem.

When I deactivate the CI-module everything works fine. As soon as I activate the CI nothing works at all.

I have the CI Module für Cine S2 V5.5 (CI Modul für Cine S2 V5.5 und DuoFlex - Digital Devices Distribution UG (haftungsbeschränkt)). This module don't need a second PCIe slot.

Maybe this is my problem. What do you think?

Do you know where I can see if I definitly have a Cine S2 V5.5? On the pictures on DD-side there's no differences to see.

    Ciao
    rbo.

Succesfull Information regarding the new Duoflex CT with a CI from Digital Devices using MP

I successfully tested this new card from DD with FTA channels and encryptyed in DVB-T mode. I can't test DVB-C since the provider in my area doesn't allow third party solutions :-((.

    The setup:
    Win7 x64
MP 1.1.2 with TV-Server patch from Morpheus.
Duoflex CT + CI Interface connected to 1 PCIe1x Bridge.
    DD Driver version 2.0.0.23

CAM: Dual CA (Conax) descrambling is limited to 1 Channel. Setup also DD driver & MP to use only 1 Tuner
CAM: AstonCrypt DVB-T (Conax) descrambling of multiple channels works. Both Tuners can be enabled in the TV-Server.

Changing channels is pretty fast, FTA channels have a better repsonse/speed then the receiver from the DVB-T provider.
Encrypted channels won't take longer then 1/2 a second to tune into the channel.

I tested also grabbing DVB-EPG data and this works for TV and Radio and also the option to grab EPG while watching live tv.

Until now I tested it for about 4 evenings of watching live TV and without 1 single error.

    Regards,
    Jarroz

Could anybody tell me where the difference between
    DuoFlex S2 PCIe
    and
    DuoFlex S2 miniPCIe
is? For my normal PCIe PC i buy the 1st one? And then why should i buy a "DuoFlex S2 addon module" instead of simply buying a 2nd Duoflex?

DuoFlex S2 addon module is only a Tuner board without any bridge. DuoFlex S2 PCIe is actually a bridge + add on board.

    Hi,

disaster123: If you don't have a ION-Mainboard or some kind of Mini-ITX you probably don't have an miniPCIe. Buy the PCIe Card for 'normal' Mainboard. This Card contains two Tuners. If you want four Tuners you just need an Addon-Card.
But if you have such questions just contact digital-devices.de - I did so. They helped me very competent and friendly!

I bought a DuoFlex CT with CI-Modul for DVB-C. When I tested this Card (after it's delivered) I'll write a comment.
