Hi there guys... Just set up Media Portal on all 3 HTPCs in the house and I love it so far.
Aside from some small teething problems, the software blows vista media center out of the water.

Right now, I've got everything running... except tv... Specifically, I am looking to set up PVR with Directv.

I've searched and tried all sorts of things over the last few days, MSN Scraper, XMLTV, etc... but I just can't seem to figure it out (channel mapping, changing and program guide), and I'm hoping that someone will have the grace to help me finalize the Holy Grail.

I have a Hauppauge 1800 Card, connected to a DirecTV HR-21 via S-Video and RCA Audio.
I would like to control channel changing via Serial and have the IOGEAR USB>Serial and null modem cable on the way.

I realize that this is a complicated ordeal, but if you've fought the battle and won, I'm sure many would appreciate the insight.

Thanks again....
Brian

I realize this is a big ask, but I would really appreciate a hand on this.
I spent the better part of the last few days trying to get channels set up, mapped and guide downloaded from Schedules Direct.

Thanks,
Brian

OK I've got the guide set up from schedules direct, but I'm having trouble setting up the IR blasters from my media center remote...

Anyone ? I'd love to get this figured out!

Thanks,
Brian

No one has ever done this?
All I need is instructions on setting up the IR and/or serial blaster.
I've gotten confused between TV3, TV2 and The IR suite.

Thanks again,
Brian

Keep in mind the HD-PVR support in the current release & SNV builds does not work. Check out the thread titled "Initial Hauppuage HD-PVR support"

Thanks Garry, I've installed your SVN and Patch.
Just waiting for UPS!!

Thanks for all your hard work on this.
In a few hours, with a little luck... I will finally have found the Holy Grail.

Been with Media Center since 2005... and now.

Blu-Ray, Music, Pictures and Hi Def TV in 1 front end....

Dare to dream!
