OK, try this. For today's SVN move the attached MP.exe into your MP directory (backup the original). Restart, and see what happens. You want to disable the PERL script. Please report your experience back. As a side note, if you don't use ccc.exe, this will hang forever, so please only use it if you are having this specific problem.

Thanks for helping me Diehard; im downloading todays svn and then will try this fix and will report back with results.

Another problem i have is to do with using the client plugin on another system i have with tv server installed on another computer. The tv server install has gone as planned and can scan for channels etc but the client can't connect, it will cause lots of problems with MCE remote, very long load times into MP on the client, when playing media it will stop after a minute or two and so on. I have tv server installed on windows home server, will tv server work on WHS and if so what am i doing wrong? I shall add the log file if you wish to have a look?

Ok the svn download has just finished so i shall try this now.

    Regards

Hi Jacko, I don't really delve much into the tv server end (at least not yet), but make sure you are using the latest svn's of both tvserver and mp if you want the best tvserver experience. Fixes are going into the tvserver daily. While there will be regressions from time to time, the latest tvserver versions will be superior to an older release. The tvserver and mp svn's must match in date. There is no problem that I am aware of with WHS.

Ok it didn't fix, in fact its a little worse as now nothing comes up at all - (no splash screen, no errors, etc) but MP.exe is running as i have to end this process via task manager.

i've attached another log for you to have a quick look at.

    Thanks
    Jacko

P.S. thought it may be of interest that i uninstalled all MP software and deleted all files first before i installed MP v0.2.3.0 then todays svn, tried this on its own and got same error and splash screen then tried your modified mp.exe and got no errors, no splash screen as above.

Hi Diehard, sorry but this latest edition has the same effect; it will load, but nothing comes up on screen (no splash, no errors, no MP, etc) and i have to use task manager to close it.

I've attached the log as per your request.

    Thanks
