[Proposal] Disable Streaming Authentication (1 Viewer)

Hmm, I wanted to add this, but it seems a bit redunant for the generic disable authentication setting (which also works for streams in the upcoming 0.5.2 release). Any reason why you want to enable authentication on the API but disable it on streams?

Should the authentication setting also work for streams in version 0.5.2 as you said?
Win8 x64, IIS 8, Mpextended 0.5.2, Webmediaportal IIS 0.5.2.

I have disabled authentication in mpextended configurator. If I open a http-streaming-profile in vlc on my other pc with this syntax "http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8080/Stream/TV?item=xx&transcoder=profile" I get no picture and this in webmediaportal.log.

2013-01-13 21:18:32.49342 [(5)] WARN: User  (host 192.168.4.4) requested a stream but isn't authenticated - denying access to stream

But if I open with this syntax "http://user:password@xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8080/Stream/TV?item=xx&transcoder=profile" in vlc it works and I can stream the channel.

Hmm, you're right. I had only fixed it in the service, not in WebMP. I'll fix that for 0.5.3

I have read this feature request.
My first thought about this was: Good Idea, but would it not be better te enable the TV-Server to use IP-TV with authentication?

I have not read all the postings in detail but perhaps @georgius is able to implement authentication for MPExtended streams?

I you don't find this suitable please skip my idea.
