Discontinuities until I delete tswriter.log (1 Viewer)

For some reason, and it's only started recently, my TV server keeps mucking around and just showing massive discontinuities when trying to tune any channel, whether it's HD or SD via DVB-T and DVB-T2.

Manually clearing the tswriter log file from the server seems to temporarily fix this until it then grows in size and then I get the same problem again.

Has anyone encountered this and got an idea of what the issue might be?

    Heya

    Yep, I have some ideas:
    1. HDD getting full.
    2. Real time scanner such as MS Security Essentials scanning MP and/or TV Server install, timeshift and/or record folders.

HDD is definitely not full but I did switch to Microsoft security essentials recently. I guess I just have to create an exception to say ignore the timeshift and record directories then.

Yes - MSE in particular seems to cause problems like this, but excluding these folders is important with any anti-virus software.

I always used the free AVG in the past and never had such problems. I've excluded those directories and so far it seems to be ok so I'll keep an eye on it.

    Thanks for the suggestions :)
